Eye Makeup Addict Tag 2015

wpid-2015-09-07-15.17.43.jpg.jpeg

This was a tag that I created. I wanted to update it and introduce it to all you gorgeous people on WordPress. I will tag three of you at the end. This is a tag for anybody who, like me, is addicted to products made for eyes.

1: Favourite neutral eye palette?

My favourite neutral palettes are the Stila Eyes Are The Window palettes. These are things of beauty. There are 12 neutral eyeshadows in each palette that can be mixed and matched to create endless looks. I also love it how the formulas can be used wet or dry too.

2: Cream or Pressed shadows?

I do love cream eyeshadows, but I love pressed eyeshadows more. They blend easier and are more forgiving if you go wrong. Cream shadows are harder to put right.

3: Best luxury vs drugstore eye product?

wpid-20150907_150917.jpg

This is so hard now! I went brushy in the original post however I want to mention more eyeshadows. I’m going to go with two khol eyeliners. My drugstore choice is the Max factor Excessive Liner collection. They blend easily and work really well in the waterline. My luxury product has got to be the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liners. These come in so many different colours and they are waterproof so can be used in the waterline too. Lovely products!

4: Do eyeshadow primers make a difference?

wpid-20150907_151035.jpg

I’ve had a play with a few more primers since the original post and I can say that they do. Most of them anyway. My favourite ones are the Bare Minerals 5in1 Cream Eyeshadows, Maybelline Colour Tattoos and MAC’s Paintpots.

5: Most disappointing eye product?

My most disappointing eye product was the YSL Baby Doll Mascara. I no longer have this as it dried up. But this did nothing for my lashes except make them look darker. It cost me about £24 and doesn’t really do that much. Not worth the splurge.

6: Best product/s for getting rid of dark circles?

wpid-20150907_151128.jpg

I have two. One is my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in vanilla this blends really well into the eye area without creasing. The other one is the Maybelline Erase Eye concealer which is a thinner consistency concealer designed for combating under eye circles. I love both of these products equally.

7: Most desired eye product you really wish was in your collection?

I would love to own more Nars eyeshadows, but these are so expensive for just duos and some of the singles, I can’t really justify it to myself.

8: Favourite mascara

My favourite mascara is the Benefit Roller Lash. This gives a lovely fanned out effect to my lashes, although I still need an eyelash curler to get more curl in my lashes. However I love the effect. I do think that the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is a close contender, as are the Bare Minerals mascaras, however I haven’t used the Too Faced one enough to have a proper opinion yet.

9: The Most Expensive Eye Product You Own?

wpid-20150907_151207.jpg

The most expensive item is still my MAC eyeshadow palettes. If you were to price these up all together at £10 a pan and the palette is £12.50 with an insert for 15 shadows that’s £162.50 per palette. Now you know why I slowly build my colection of MAC eyeshadows up!

10: Best for Brows?

wpid-20150907_151224.jpg

Do I even need to mention this? It’s of course my ever favourite Maybelline Brow Satin brow pencil. If I ever recommend another product for natural brows, pigs will be flying.

11: Liquid or gel liner?

This award still goes to liquid eyeliner. I just feel that it gives the most fluid and seamless finish. Myself and gel don’t get on. My favourite liquid eyeliners are the L’Oreal Superliners; they can do no wrong.

12: Who is your favourite beauty guru on youtube for creating beautiful eye combinations?

Nothing has changed here; it’s still Shelbey Ashburn. Shelbey does some of the best Eye Makeup Tutorials. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her do the same thing twice, and all of her tutorials are followable and easy to copy at home. She is definitely worth a watch if you want a quick and pretty eye makeup routine

13: You are invited to a red carpet event. Which beauty artist would you choose to do your makeup?

I would choose Mary Greenwell. She does some gorgeous looks and I am obsessed with her tutorials on youtube. She gives everyone such a classic look with eyes and lips. I just think I could pick up so many tips from her.

14: Something special?

My something special product has got to be my extensive collection of Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadows. If you haven’t seen how many of these things I own check out my Bare Minerals look book. It is an extensive collection I have lovingly built up over three years.

Okay, so that is the eye product addict tag. I hope you enjoy this addition to the many beauty tags out there. I am tagging Arielle, Lornaelizabethbeauty and  jessparkes for their answers to this tag. Anyone else who would also like to try their hands at this tag is more than welcome.

Wow you really are a beauty addict. Question: How do you store all your makeup? I’ve got a bit of a collection going on and struggling with how to store them but not forget I have them and thus don’t use them. Thanks for the response.

Hmm storing makeup? I use a lot of clear makeup bags since I still live at home. I have them in categories so each type of product is together. Anything that I want to use in the near future goes into my large Benefit makeup bag. If I lived in my own house, I’d probably have a vanity table and store makeup in drawers.
