I have yet again sorted through my makeup bag (I had way too many lipsticks in there, I just couldn’t cope with them every morning)! I have swapped up my eyeshadows and rediscovered my MAC eyeshadow palette and thought that I’d have a play with an Autumnal green eyeshadow look. I was really pleased with the results, and thought that I’d share it with you.
For the face, I first applied a light layer of Bare Minerals Original Matte Foundation. I just saw Wayne Goss do this this morning, and his skin looked amazing. I then applied my concealers, which was a mix of Rimmel’s Wake Me Up and Nars Radiant Creamy concealers. I ended up not using the Maybelline one. Don’t know how it snuck back into the photo! I then set this all in place with another thin layer of the Bare Minerals Foundation, and patted some Bareskin Perfecting Veil under my eyes.
Onto my cheeks, I used the Body Shop’s Honey Bronzing Powder in Light Matte to lightly contour my cheek bones. I then used a very light layer of Bare Minerals Loose Blush in Rarest Rose on the apples of my cheeks and swept over my cheek bones. This colour so easily goes wrong since it is a deep plum shade; hence the light useage. Finally I used Bare Minerals All Over Face Colour in Secret Radiance above the blush. This gives a very subtle highlight. It looked like bottled light for my cheek bones. Gorgeous!
Now comes the fun part! I first filled in my brows with the usual suspects; Maybelline Brow Satin and Benefit Gimme Brow. Nothing new there!
I then used my Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Cream Eyeshadow in Delicate Moss on the eyelid, blending it out with my finger. In the inner corner of my eye I took MAC’s Woodwinked eyeshadow and took this up to the centre of the eye. Next I took MAC’s Sumptious Olive and patted this over the rest of the eyelid, and took some of this along my lower lash line too. I then blended both shades into the crease with a blending brush. To define the crease a little bit more, I used MAC’s Espresso.
For mascara, on the top lashes I used Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara (I may need to purchase the full size) and on my lower lashes I used the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara.
For my lips I rummaged through my darker neutrals lipsticks and came across an old favourite. I first lined my lips with No7 Precision Liner in Paprika and went over this with MAC’s Mystical. To gloss it out a bit I used Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Show Off.
And that’s the entire Tutorial guys. Hope you like it. I’ll see you tomorrow for another post.
