I couldn’t wait. I bought the last mascara in Debenhams. Phew!
As you can probably tell already, I love this mascara. I’ve been using it for about two weeks in the free sample tube, which I got when I bought the foundation and blush. I wanted the full sized one after about two days of using the sample.
The full sized mascara cost me £19. The packaging is a beautiful salmon pink metal. It feels really sturdy to hold. Plus, it’s got a very reassuring click to keep any air out of the tube (which normally means mascara massacre).
The wand is a very curvy hourglass shape, with bristles rather than a plastic wand. It advertises to, “One coat and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and they’re reaching unbelievable heights of drama. Three coats and you’ll believe in magic.” That’s quite a big claim.
I have the skimpiest lashes imaginable brought on by a lifetime of eye-rubbing. Feels amazing for me, not so great for my lashes! So any mascara that says it can define and volumize my tiny lashes is amazing. I love thicker, longer lashes.
I applied three coats to my eyes as the advert states. The first coat made my lashes look blacker and quite fanned out. So far so good.
On the second coat, my lashes did look a lot thicker and blacker with a slight bit more length. Hmm, good but other mascaras do this.
It was that third coat that made the difference. It built up on the previously applied length and volume but maximed it. I loved the outcome and it made my lashes stand out against my coloured eyeshadows.
Is it better than sex? Maybe. Sorry boys!
Bye for now!
