As much as I love higher end makeup, there are some items from the drugstore that I need in my life.
Maybelline Brow Drama
This probably comes as no surprise that this made this list. This is the only thing that I consistently use in my brows (unless I need something else for a tutorial). It’s an amazing product that fills in brows whilst remaining looking natural. I love it.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick
I prefer these to the Kate Moss Lipsticks. These are less drying on the lips and have a smoother application on me. The colour range is a thing of beauty; there’ll be something there to suit anyone.
Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum Oil
I give this credit for saving my skin. It was so dry over the last few months and my regular skin care just wasn’t working. This really worked at it’s a fraction of the price of other serums too. I have reviewed this lately so I’ll say no more.
Real Techniques Makeup Brushes
Sam and Nic Chapman really knew what we were looking for when they designed these. They are some of the best drugstore brushes on the market. They feel so soft and distribute products evenly where you need them.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
This is by far my favourite makeup remover. It is so gentle and does an amazing job at removing even the smallest bit of makeup on my face. It’s amazing.
Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream
This is the other items that saved my skin. It’s such a rich, thick cream that I thought it would sit on my face, leaving it looking sweaty. But no, this absorbed so quickly and left my skin feeling smooth and re-hydrated.
Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks
These are not the most long lasting lipsticks on the market, but the colours are so beautiful, I need them in my life. They apply really smoothly and although they have a buttery texture they don’t feel sticky.
Covergirl Colorlicious Lipsticks
As soon as I saw these in the discount beauty stores I became addicted. The colours are amazing and apply really smoothly. They are also really long lasting. They’re meant to be the same as the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipsticks, but I prefer the Covergirl variety.
No7 Precision Lip Liners
These are my favourite lip liners. There’s only a few in the range but there’s one for each grouping of colours from a nude to a berry. They look lovely on there own or as a base for gloss and lipstick. Love them!
Makeup Revolution Blush Palette: Sugar and Spice
Makeup Revolution really did come out of nowhere and took over the beauty world. They have so many dupes of higher end produce it’s hard to keep track. My favourite item that I own is the Blush Palette. There are so many colours in this that I would use, and it reminds me of the quality of MAC and Bare Minerals blushes. Not too shabby for £8!
And that is my list of top 10 drugstore items at the moment. This will probably change over the next year, but we’ll get to that when it does.
Bye for now!
