Which Mascaras are Worth the Money?

Hi guys!

I have collected a lot of mascaras lately trying to find a one that I really do love. There are a few here that I really like, and some that I wish I’d never purchased. As you can see, there are a few, some I’m going to group them into what each mascara claims to offer.

The Waterproof

I only have one waterproof mascara since I have been allergic to a fair few waterproof mascaras in the past. However, my eyes have been extremely watery lately so I thought I’d give the GOSH Length-n Build Mascara a go. So far this hasn’t reacted badly to me. It doesn’t really lengthen my lashes but it’s great as a waterproof top-layer for some of my other mascaras.

The Volumizers

I have two volumizing mascaras. One is definitely better than the other. The first is the Rimmel Wonder’Full Mascara. This is awful. It smudges like crazy on me and doesn’t add much volume to the lashes. If anything it clumps the lashes together. Not great. My other volumizing mascara is the Clinique Chubby Lash. It does take a few layers but this does give a bit extra volume to the lashes as well as adding a touch of colour.

The Lengtheners

Since I have skimpy lashes length is what I want in a mascara. I have two solely lengthening mascaras. One is the GOSH Growth Mascara which claimed to Lengthen lashes in just two weeks. It did add some length but I can think of other mascaras that add a touch more. This is a good one to wear under other mascaras to add a touch more length. The other lengthening mascara is a Barry M Showgirl Mascara. This one does nothing. No length at all. It just makes lashes look blacker. Luckily I didn’t pay for this; it was free with two nail polishes.

The Curlers

Curling mascaras tend to add a bit extra length to lashes too. These are some of my favourite mascaras. Some. The first one is the Benefit Roller Lash. I love this mascara; it adds length and curls lashes that last all day. The next mascara is a No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara. It does curl my lashes but it doesn’t do anything dramatic. It’s ideal for a natural eye day. The next one is a Bare Minerals Curl and Lengthen Mascara. It’s another that I enjoy using. It doesn’t hold a curl as well as the Roller Lash, but it is a nice natural one for the daytime. The final one is a sample from Urban Decay Supercurl Mascara. I was allergic to this so I stopped using it, but it did add a lot of curl to my lashes. It’s a shame I was allergic to this.

The All-Rounders

These are my favourite mascara type; the ones that claim so much, you wonder if they’re pulling your leg. I have three at the moment. The first is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. This is my favourite mascara. It does everything promises and more. I love it. The next is the Bare Minerals Lash Domination. This doesn’t volumise as much as it claims but it does everything else. It’s another awesome one once you figure out how to use the wand. The final mascara in the list is the GOSH X-Treme Mascara. Again, I really like this one. It gives great volume and length to lashes. Another win.

So those are my opinions on the above mascaras. Have you used any of them, and what were your opinions?

Bye for now!
