I am off on holiday to Cyprus in a few weeks. I honestly can’t wait. It’s a place that I’ve never been before.
So I have collected a few pieces for my makeup bag. My current Autumnal favourites will be slightly out of place in the 27 degree heat, so I’ve reverted back to some summer things.
Here’s what I’ll be packing for my trip to Cyprus.
The base is the most important thing for me on holiday. I get a really sweaty red face, so I need products that are going to stay put for as long as possible and not look dewy. For primer I went for my old favourite Body Shop Instablur. And to wear over that I’ve gone for the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water Foundation. Quite a mouthful but this is a really lovely, lightweight foundation that I think will be ideal for hotter weather. For concealer, I’ve bought a new bottle of Maybelline’s Erase Eye Concealer. And to set it all in place, I’ve repurchased the Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil. I couldn’t not have this. It’s an amazing setting powder.
For eyes, I’m taking the Clinique Wear Everywhere palettes in the shades Green and Nude. These are very compact whilst having a decent amount of shades; ideal for travelling. I’m taking the trustworthy Benefit Brow Zings, which has it’s own dinky brushes. I’m also taking two mascaras; one waterproof and one not so much. The waterproof one is a No7 Extreme Length Mascara, and I have repurchased a travel size of Urban Decay’s Perversion Mascara. I love this mascara for giving dramatic eyes and it’s ideal for travelling being a smaller tube.
Some other face products that I’m taking are a moisturiser in my faithful skinrescue formula, Body Shop Hemp Face Protector. For when I get dry skin, this stuff is truly a miracle product. I love it! I am taking one bronzer and a blush. Three guesses what bronzer it is….. you’re probably right; it’s the Body Shop’s Honey Bronzing Powder. As for blush, I picked up this cute little NO7 POwder Blush in ‘Apricot Blossom’ the other day. It’s a really pretty muted coral shade. The final product is a lip balm, which is from the Body Shop’s Coconut range.
I have really had to cut down on the lip products! I am taking two Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks; ‘Tilt’ and ‘Bang.’ Very gorgeous, highly pigmented colours. I am also taking the Pevlon Colorburst Lipsticks in ‘Honey’ and ‘Provocateur’. I have only packed one lipgloss, which always comes on holiday with me; Bare Minerals’ Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in ‘Party Starter.’
The final items are all brushes. I’m taking a couple of eye brushes and a brush each for foundation, blush and powder. That should be all that I need for a week’s worth of makeup.
To finish off the post, I’m tried some of the products to create a look that may make it onto the holiday.
Bye for now!
