I haven’t done a makeup of the day for a while, partly because I’ve been using the same products that I have done all through October. However, I switched around my makeup bag a few days ago, and I’ve been wearing this very natural daytime makeup everyday this week. I thought that I would share this little Makeup of the Week look with you.
I used my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation over the Benefit Porefessional primer. This is looking a little pale at the moment, so I warmed it up using some of Bare Mineral’s Bareskin Perfecting Veil. To contour my face I used a generous amount of The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer in ‘Light Matte’ and I coloured my cheeks using a new purchase, Urban Decay’s After Hours Blush in ‘Video.’ This looks brown in the packaging, but it actually looks quite mauve on me. On the makeup artist it was a lot pinker. Very strange, but I love it. Finally, I used highlighter. I have never used it before, but a Nars rep used this on me for a night out and I loved it. I used a very tiny amount of Nars Multiple in ‘Copapabana’ on my fingers, applying to my cheek bones.
I have kept my eye makeup really simple using the shades ‘Strange’ and ‘Nooner’ from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I also used a touch of the blush I used on my cheeks in the crease of my eye. I got this tip from the makeup artist who did my makeup at Urban Decay and it gives a lovely slight terracotta finish to the eye. I used a touch of the Urban Decay Glide On Liner in ‘Demolition’ on my top lash line. I finished the eyes with a bit of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.
On my brows, I filled them in using the well loved Benefit Brow Zings, and added some of the highlight used on my cheek bones to my brow bone. It had a really subtle effect.
I used a MAC Lustre Finish lipstick on my lips. This one is the shade ‘Plumful’, which I may need to hide from my Mam. She has her eye on it! You know a lipstick shade is nice if your Mam who wears the same shades day in and day out likes it! This is not the sort of shade she would normally wear!
And that is how I’ve been doing my makeup for the past week. How have you been doing your makeup? Have you added some new products to your routine?
Bye for now!
