Urban Decay Afterglow Blush ‘Video’ Review

Hi guys!

I’ve really been having an Urban Decay moment. I’ve found the people who work there really lovely and really knowledgable of the different products.

I went to the House of Fraser store, actually looking at the Nars Audacious Lipstick in the shade ‘Lela’; a gorgeous orange-red colour. There was nobody at the Nars stall so I asked the girl at Urban Decay to help. We couldn’t find it so she offered to show me the Revolution lipsticks, which in all fairness, she saved me Β£10 matching the Audacious lipstick to ‘Bang!’

This is how the few extra naughty purchases happened. One of them being this blush. These cost Β£19 and come in a rather funky chrome silver packaging. You can see the colour of the product through the ‘UD’ symbol netting, which looks really cool. However it does mean that there isn’t a mirror. It’s a minor thing, and I don’t tend to use the tiny mirrors in my products anyway. It also claims to last 8 hours. I’m not sure about this, but it does last a long time.

Anyway, what intrigued me to this blush wasn’t the colour itself. It looks very ‘meh’ in the pan and quite terracotta brown. Not a colour that I would choose. However, the sales assistant said that she was wearing it and it looked pink on her. I was intrigued and asked to try it on myself expecting the pink. But no! On me this turned a mauve, dusty plum. It was stunning! I needed it in my life.

I also used this on my friend Lynz on Halloween and it was more plum shaded on her. I don’t think it has colour adaption technology. It doesn’t say anything online, but it must have something in it to do these different looks!

The colour is stunning, and will be a lovely one to wear throughout the whole year.

Have you tried this shade? What do you think? Or are there any other Aftetglow blushers that I should try?

Bye for now!
