Here’s another lipstick collection. I have been slightly obsessed with Urban Decay at the moment. Have you noticed? Probably.
I was shown the shade ‘Fiend’ a few months ago and loved it; I have wanted more ever since.
Urban Decay’s lipstick collection are called the Revolution Collection. They come in matte, creamy and sheer formulas. All are very beautiful. They all retail at £15.50, so pretty affordable for high end lipsticks.
The original Revolution Lipsticks have a very creamy formula (even the matte lipsticks), which means they don’t drag and they feel very nourishing on the lips. They are very long-lasting but can smudge at times. I was advised by an Urban Decay rep to buy some lipliners and this would solve the problem. That’ll be a task for next month! On a good note, these do make my lips feel a lot plumper, which is great for my relatively skinny lips. Who doesn’t want juicier, fuller looking lips.
Top Line: Bang!, Tilt, 69
Bottom Line: Streak, Turn On, Fiend
I have six Revolution Lipsticks; one matte and five original collection. You can probably tell from that which formula I prefer. AS much as I do like the matte lipstick, I prefer the juicier finish of the creamy ones.
Streak: Streak is the lightest shade that I own. It is almost sheer but can be built up to a higher pigment quality. When worn like this it is almost a baby pink. It’s really beautiful.
Turn On: Turn on is another beautiful ‘your lips but better’ colour. I love it.
Fiend: Fiend is slightly paler than ‘Turn On’ but just as gorgeous. Although this is a creamy formula, this almost looks matte on me. If you are looking for a more affordable dupe of Nars’ Audacious ‘Anna’, this is very similar.
Bang: Bang is a very intense bright blood orange colour. It is gorgeous and perfect for Summer (or holidays). IT is probably my favourite orange lipstick in my entire collection.
Tilt: Tilt is a matte lipstick. It’s a peachy orange and looks gorgeous on the lips. It does have a tendency to smudge but I still love the colour. I will be trying out that tip and wearing this one with a lip liner.
69: That moment where you ask why this lipstick doesn’t have a name and just a number, then you realise that ’69’ is the name. Oh! I love the kinky names of these lipsticks but I can just imagine some poor grandma coming in and asking for a red lipstick and being advised on ’69.’ Ummm. Anyway, this is a gorgeous cherry red lipstick. It’s beautiful and absolutely stunning on the lips. I’ll probably wear this one for my work’s Christmas party.
So that is my Urban Decay lipstick collection. Which are your favourites or are there any others that you think that I should try.
Bye for now!
