I remember doing this post when I first started my blog on weebly. That was two years ago. My tastes in makeup have changed a lot in that time, and I think that it is time to figure out what my new favourite brands are.
I’m going to take everything into account for this; foundation, skincare, eyeshadow, lip stuff, ect…. There’s a lot to take into account! So here we go; here are my top five favourite makeup brands.
I had just discovered Bare Minerals when I started my blog last time, and it was a favourite back then. Although I have discovered other things that are slightly better, I still love this brand’s motto and products. They give a really pretty, natural look. And the Marvelous Moxie collection will always be some of my favourite lip products.
I don’t use a lot of the makeup from the body shop, other than the Colour Crush eyeshadows. The Body Shop belongs up here solely for it’s skincare products. These saved my dry skin a few years ago and I have used them since. They are amazing, and there is a range for every type of skin condition.
I did go off this brand for a long type after the ‘Super Balance’ incident. However I have recently got back into it. I love the eyeshadows and lip products. I am also loving the Chubby Lash mascara at the moment for days where I go for a more natural eye look. Once my other foundations run out, i may give their foundations a go again.
MAC have some amazing products in their constant line. They have a habit of being long lasting and highly pigmented. I especially love their lipsticks. There is something their for every occasion. I know that MAC does have a reputation for having ‘bitchy’ people working for them, but I have had no problems at my local MAC store. The girls are lovely and give advise to people. It’s a really friendly counter.
Nars is another brand I have only really started using in the past six months. I have two lipsticks, a foundation, a blush and a lip gloss. I can’t really complain about any aspect of these products quality. They are amazing; highly pigmented, creamy and super long lasting. I only wish that they were slightly cheaper, but they do last me a long time. Yes, I disagree with expiry dates on most items!
I now know that Urban Decay is more than just beautiful eyeshadow palettes. They have an amazing range of lip products, foundations, concealers, and yes eyeshadows. They are amazing and I have really gotten into them at the moment.
Those are my six favourite makeup brands. there are others that I do really love, and if this had been a top ten list, they would have made it in here.
What would you have as your six favourite makeup brands? Let me know in the comments.
Bye for now!
