I’ve collaborated with eight other lovely bloggers to bring our christmas party essentials. Each blog post is slightly different so you won’t be reading nine posts with very similar things.
Since my work Chrismtas Party is coming up, I thought that I would write about the five things that I always include in my handbag when I go to a party.
I take a lot of photos! A lot! My clutch bag is a decent size so it can fit in my very battered Fujifilm camera. I’ve had this a long time and it still takes pretty decent photos. It’s ideal for taking photos in dark venues.
Anyone of us beauty gals knows the struggle of finding a long-lasting lipstick. There are some amazing matte formulas out there that give it a good go, but it’s always handy to keep your chosen lipstick in your handbag for a quick top up. I tend to wear a bold red lip to Christmas Parties such as Bobbi Brown’s Red Carpet, or Urban Decay’s Bad Blood. These go really good with smoky eye makeup, which is kind of a staple look for me to parties.
These have a proper name but I can’t remember them. You can basically put a small amount of your favourite perfume into one of these and spritz if needs be through the night if you’re doing a lot of dancing and things get sweaty. TMI, but these are handy. I got mine from The Fragrance Store, but you can pick them up cheap anywhere.
Winter is evil, and gives us colds, or we may get tearful at times. These are always handy to keep in your bag for any weird situation that might happen during the night.
These really are essentials (and I’m including them together because I really couldn’t leave them out, even though I’m technically cheating). Your purse holds money and cards. You might be lucky and have a company that pays for your Christmas party, but you may still need to pay for the taxi home. You could just keep money loose, but I like to keep it safe in a purse just in case. Phones are handy to call taxis or input the number of the cute guy you just met.
And those are my five christmas party handbag essentials. I hope you enjoyed my post, and please check out these other lovely blogs too. All of their posts should have gone live now, so please check out their blog posts for more Christmas party essentials.
Bye for now!
