Something That I Wouldn’t Normally Buy

Hi guys!
All us UK girls know about Boots’ point system. When you build up so many you can buy things for the value of your points. I had just over £40 worth saved up and wanted to buy myself something special.

I have never bought chanel makeup before. It’s just out of what I see as acceptable prices for makeup. Their eyeshadow quads; as gorgeous as they are retail at £40! Not even the Naked Palettes cost that much and you get 12 eyeshadows in it. All the same, it’s something that I would like to try as a treat.

So I went to the Chanel counter at the Silverlink and began swatching everything. And I mean everything!

I came out with three things  (one was bought with points). I felt a bit guilty about just using the points. Daft, but I’m like that!

The things I actually bought were a Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in ‘La Rafinee’ and an Illusion d’ombre eyeshadow in ‘Mirage’. One influenced by Vivianna Does Makeup and the other by my sister. She says everyone should own at least one chanel lipstick.

The thing bought with points is a gorgeous quad in the shade ’tissi rivoli’. My French isn’t great so I haven’t a clue what any of these names mean but the shades I picked are beautiful. I can see this Taupe palette getting a lot of use this winter!

What was the last thing you bought with your Boots points?

Bye for now!
