Natural Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hi guys!

I have been loving neutral eye looks at the moment. I still love a good colour, but sometimes it’s nice to sport something less bright, especially in the winter.

I did add the original Naked palette from Urban Decay to my extensive collection lately so this eye look uses this.

Face

To begin, I first primed my face using the GOSH Hydration Primer. This is quite cooling and feels very refreshing on the face. Over this I used my Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation, buffing this in with a fluffy buffing brush. Since I have no blemishes at the moment I just used some concealer to brighten my under-eye area. I used a lot of Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, and baked this using Bare MInerals Original concealer. Looking back, I wish I hadn’t done this. It enhanced my wrinkles slightly. But you can only see them up close. I should have used the powder on a small brush and swirled it over the concealer. Anyway, we live and learn.

To add some colour, I used Bare Minerals Warmth to contour my cheeks. I have needed a warmer bronzer since my holiday. This one is amazing and blends really well. For blush, I have been trying to use up Benefit’s Hervanna blush. I blended this onto the apples of my cheeks and swept upwards towards my ear. For highlighter, I received a free sample of Benefit’s Watt’s Up, which I blended onto my cheek bones.

To set everything in place I used a light amount of Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil.

Eyes

I have just had my brows tinted and waxed so luckily they didn’t need much doing to them. I still filled them in slightly with my Benefit Brow Zings kit to bolden them more.

To prime my lids, I used MAC’s Painterly. For the eyeshadows themselves, I used Urban Decay’s Original Naked palette. Using a fluffy brush, I blended the shade ‘Buck’ in the crease, and took ‘Naked’ over the lid, blending them together to create a neutral base. Over this, I patted the shade ‘Toasted’ over my whole lid, up to the crease, and patted ‘Hustle’ on the outer corner. I took a clean blending brush to clean any harsh edges in the crease.

On my brow bone and inner corner, I used the shade ‘Virgin’ which is a beautiful highlighting shade.

I tightlined my lashes using Bare MInerals Round the Clock Eyeliner in 5pm. Finally, I added mascara. I used the benefit They’re Real brown mascara. I used to love the original mascara and thought I’d give the brown one a go. It gave my lashes quite a shocking length. I loved it.

Lips

Since this is a natural daytime look, I didn’t bother with lipstick, choosing to use a red lipgloss. I used the shade Game Changer from the Bare Mineral Marvelous Moxie range. I adore this colour for a simple, subtle red lip.

And that is my finished look. What is your everyday makeup look at the moment? Let me know what posts you would like to see in the future.

Bye for now!
