Here’s the second of my Christmas party tutorials. This one is a sparkly taupe smoky eye and glossy red lip.
For the face I first dabbed a small amount of Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer over any blemishes. I then buffed one pump of Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation over my face. I set everything in place with my Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil.
To add definition, I used what was left of my Bare Minerals California Bronze palette, applying that to my cheek bones. For blush, I used my deluxe sample of Nars Orgasm. This is a really pretty colour.
I first defined my brows with my well-used Benefit Brow Zings, applying it with an angled liner brush.
For the actual eyeshadow, I used my new Chanel Les 4 Ombres palette in ‘Rivoli.’ I applied the lightest shade all over my lid up to the brows. Then, taking the light taupe shade on a flat eyeshadow brush I patted this in the inner corner and took the darker taupe over the rest of the lid, blending the edges to create a softer edge in the crease. I then darkened the crease further with the brown shade. On the lower lash line, I took the dark brown and darker taupe shade and smudged it out.
Along my waterline I used my Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner and then used a lot of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to define my lashes.
To finish off the look, I wanted glossy red lips. I first lined my lips with a ‘Crimson’ Smashbox Lipliner, filling in the full lip. I Then used the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in ‘Infrared’ to enhance the colour. To add the glossy finish, I added a Smashbox Lip Lacquer in ‘Legendary.’ These three products together gave a very juicy, healthy looking lip look that was surprisingly long-lasting.
And that is my second Christmas Party look. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s look.
Bye for now!
