Here’s the third christmas party tutorial. This one is a take on the Sugar Plum Fairy; a dark purple/plum eye with a plum lip.
I kept my base the same as the other two tutorials (I will use a different foundation for No.4). For the blush though, I changed this up to include Bare Mineral’s ‘Joyous Jennifer’. This blush has a lot of sparkle in it, and I wanted this look to be quite highlighted and sparkly. I took this blush on a Real Techniques blush brush and buffed this into my cheek bone and apples of the cheeks.
To add a touch more highlight, I blended a touch of Nars The Multiples in ‘Copacabana’ into my cheek bone area. This worked really well with the blush!
For the eyes, I used two palettes; Urban Decay’s Vice 4 and Smoky Palettes. I first took ‘Bone’ and ‘Framed’ and blended this all over my lid. I then took ‘Whisky’ and blended this into the crease. On a small eyeshadow brush, I added ‘Delete’ to the outer corner, and blended this outwards into the centre of the eye and crease. Over the lid, I patted some of ‘Underhand’ and darkened the outer corner further with ‘Smolder.’ On a smudger brush, I took some more of this colour under the eye. On the lower lash line, I also used a touch of ‘Harlot’ on the same smudger brush. To highlight the inner corner, I added a touch of ‘High’ with my pinkie finger. On the brow bone, I used a matte shade, ‘Thirteen.’
On my brows, I used my usual Benefit Brow Zings to fill them in. For eyeliner, I used my free sample of Nars Larger Than Life Liner, applying this to my upper lash line and across the lid.
To finish the eyes I applied a few generous layers of Benefit They’re Real Black Mascara.
For the lips, I first lined them using Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Lip Liner in ‘Mauve Moment’, filling in my entire lip area, attempting to even out my lower line. For lipstick, I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in ‘Love Liberty,’ a gorgeous plum colour with hints of pink.
And that is the third look. What other ones would you like to see?
Bye for now!
