Today’s look is for those that don’t like wearing a lot of makeup. I’ve worked out a no makeup, makeup look for you. Of course, it still has my statement bold lip, but you don’t have to have that.
For the face I used Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and a touch of Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer under the eyes.
I used the tiniest amount of Bare Minerals California Bronze to contour my face and a sweeping of Benefit Dallas Blush over the apples of my cheeks.
I set everything in place with my already dipping Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil.
I didn’t use an eyeshadow palette for this. I know, shock horror! Instead, I took the California Bronze Palette and took the darkest bronze shade on a fluffy eyeshadow brush, and blended this into the lids. I then took the highlighter shade and patted that lightly onto the lid. Together, these gave a hint of something there without overdoing things.
To finish of the eyes I added some Benefit They’re Real Brown Mascara.
For the lips, I used a sheer glossy red lip stick in the form of Barry M’s Gelly Shine Lip Pencil. This has no name on the product, just a number 2. But it’s the cherry red colour if you do see it in Superdrug.
If you did want to go completely minimalist on the lips, and not have a bold lipstick, I did use a touch of Vaseline to moisten my lips prior to this and it looked quite nice with just my natural lip colour.
And that is probably the quickest, minimalistic makeup look that I’ve ever done. I know that there are people who don’t wear makeup for parties, so this look was for you guys. I hope you liked it. Sorry the lighting is a bit naff in the photo. I wasn’t in my usual location and I only had a lamp to work with.
Bye for now, and I’ll see you tomorrow for number 6.
