I mention my morning skincare routine quite a lot but I rarely go into my evening routine. Partially because I didn’t really have one until recently.
But I am attempting to take more care of my skin and that has included a few changes to my evening.
Here’s what I do before getting into my bed on a night.
So I start by taking off my makeup. I currently use two products for this; mainly to make sure my skin is really clean. I first use the L’Oreal Micellar Cleansing Gel to remove foundation and some eye stuff. I find that this isn’t strong enough to tackle tougher eye makeup so I go in with a Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to remove the tougher stuff that clings to the skin like glue.
Since I do have very sensitive skin that dries easily I go in with a serum oil such as Bare Minerals’ Active Cell Renewal and massage a few drops of this into my skin.
To add a touch more moisture, I use my favourite moisturiser, Body Shop’s Hemp Face Protector. For my eyes I’ll pat a touch of Bare Minerals Mineralixir Eye Balm under my eyes.
For lips I’ll use any lip scrub and balm that I reach first.
My final step is to buff some Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment into my skin. This is quite new so I’m giving it a full month to test whether or not this makes a difference to my skin. I will review after this time.
And then I hit the pillows with a hypnosis programme on my phone/ ipod. Hopefully I sleep through the night.
