Another year is about to come and go! It’s quite scary how quick this year has flown.
It’s been a weird year and here’s hoping that 2016 brings better things to come.
But anyway, here are all those lovely things that I have absolutely adored over 2015. These are all beauty favourites, and I will link my Wantfeed list for this post if you would like to purchase anything for yourself.
Foundation: I chopped and changed my foundation that much this year and found a fair few that I actually liked. I rediscovered my love for the Bare Minerals Original Foundation for it’s light but buildable coverage. Bare Minerals have came out with some new foundations but they can’t beat the original. My other favourite that was a new discovery is Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation. This is a beautiful liquid foundation that leaves amazing airbrushed looking skin.
Concealer: I tend to use two concealers on a daily basis; one for blemishes and the other for under-eye circles. My favourite blemish concealer has to be NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer. It’s so pigmented yet creamy with no shine, making it ideal for blemishes. As for those pesky circles I enjoy using Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer, which has a few more brightening qualities than the NARS concealer.
Bronzer: This will come as no shock to some of you, but my favourite bronzer this year has been the Body Shop’s Honey Bronzing Powder. This is a revolutionary product for those with fair skin. It is a matte bronzer which is perfect for contouring, and making it look natural. I love this bronzer so much!
Blush: I discovered some amazing blushers this year, but my favourite has got to be Urban Decay’s Afterglow Blush in ‘Video’. This is such a pretty colour that suits everyone. For cream blush, I still love Benefit’s Majorette. I have found nothing that compares to this yet.
Highlighter: I am not the biggest fan of highlighting. I don’t think it’s all that it’s hyped up to be, but I have enjoyed using NARS’ The Multiple Stick in Copacabana. It is a lovely natural looking highlight.I use this mainly on the brow bone.
Powder: The only powder that I have truly loved is the Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil. This does not sit on the face looking like talc. It will blend into your foundation and help set it. It’s a lovely product to use.
Eyeshadow Single: My main love is for palettes, but I still use the occasional single eyeshadow. My main favourite is a Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade ‘Creme de Nude.’ The whole collection is beautiful, but this makes a lovely neutral base for powder eyeshadows.
Eyeshadow Palettes: I love palettes and have so many amazing ones. The ones that I have loved the most being Stila’s Eyes are the Window Palettes; both ‘Soul’ and ‘Spirit’ have been well loved this year. I have also loved Urban Decay’s Vice 4, when I have wanted more colour in my life. I only bought this in October and I’m almost hitting pan on some shades!
Mascara: There have been a few wow-me mascaras this year but the ultimate favourite is Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara. It is amazing. It does everything a girl would want in a mascara. I love the bugger. And the packaging is beautiful too!
Lipgloss: I still adore my Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipglosses. They are my ultimate favourites of life. However a new discovery for me has been the NARS Lipglosses. These are not sticky and last ages. They are another great lipgloss with some beautiful colours.
Lipstick: 2015 truly has been a lipstick year. My lipstick bags are bulging. For formulas my three favourites have been Rimmel’s Moisture Renew, MAC Lipsticks (just all of them) and Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipsticks. I love them all for the same reasons: they’re hydrating, long lasting and look beautiful.
Skincare: I’m going to leave skincare out of this list too. There’s too many to list here. I’ll make a separate list for my favourite skincare items.
So those are all of my 2015 Beauty Favourites. I will list everything in a wantfeed list if you would like to check anything out for cheeky purchases for yourselves. What have been your favourites this year?
Bye for now!
