I don’t normally do a December Favourites, because I always have a yearly favourites post in January. However, I am breaking tradition since there were so many things that I have been loving this month. Yes, I did go a bit makeup mad this month (Damn You Black Friday)! Hence the reason this list.
Benefit Boing Concealer
Everytime I get my brows waxed I end up having two spots show up on my forehead. Very annoying but I have come to accept them as part of my brow maintenance. They usually only stay for a week and disappear back to blemish Hell. However, to conceal them I have been wearing this very heavy duty concealer. It is amazing! I used to use this as a teenager but grew out of it. Well, it’s back for this really annoying blemishes that my other concealers struggle with.
Urban Decay Smoky Palette and Vice 4
Vice 4 was in my favourites last month, and it’s back again. I have been mixxing the colours in these two palettes to get some pretty cool looks. I love them both. They blend really well together and are perfect combos for the party season.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in Mauve Moment
This is a beautiful, creamy lip pencil. It is perfect for darker lipstick days, and doesn’t dry out your lips. I have really been loving this shade this month.
Sparkly Nail Polishes
Christmas is a time for glitter. I love glittery nail polishes. I love them even more when they’re easy to remove. Some of my favourite formulas this month has been the Rimmel Glitter polishes and the Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polishes.
The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
As some of you know, I work in mental health as a support worker. This book was lying around the staff room so I thought that I would give it a go. It has had me in tears and reading the pages so quickly to reach the ending. It’s about a young man coming to terms with having schizophrenia, the death of his brother and learning to accept the love of others in his life. It has opened my eyes to how mental health affects everyone, and has made me think twice about some of my own practices. Definitely one to read if you are interested in mental health.
Bare Minerals Original Foundation
I have began to love a more natural makeup look on some days, and have went back to an old foundation love. Yes, I have changed the shade, but I still love this foundation for a light to medium coverage.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick: Rapture
This is a gorgeous mauve shade. It’s really hydrating and such a long-lasting colour. I love it.
And those are all of my favourites this month. What have you been loving this month?
Bye for now!
