As you can see from my bedroom window, it isn’t the greatest weather outside, so I’m having a lazy day in the house.
I have had a bit of a pamper for my skin prior to makeup, but I wanted to go easy on the actual makeup and have a bit of a lazy day. I’ve gone quite light in coverage and stayed quite simple with both eyes and lips.
Here’s how I got this lazy day look.
For foundation I used my Bare Minerals Ready Foundation in the shade 250 on a flat topped foundation brush. This can be built up to fuller coverage, but I kept it quite light this morning. Under my eyes I mixed YSL’s Touche Eclat with Bare Mineral’s Stroke of Light Brightening Concealer. I set this in place using Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder using a small fluffy face brush., patting delicately under the eyes.
I added a touch of Body Shop Honey bronzer quite lightly along my cheek bones just to add some colour to my face. For actual blush, I used a Bare Minerals Loose Blush in the shade ‘Golden Gate.’
To set everything in place, I buffed Bare Mineral’s Original Mineral Veil into my face. This is actually quite a hydrating face powder that feels quite cooling on the face.
For my eye makeup, I kept things quite simple. I added some shape to my brows using the Benefit Gimme Brow.
On my eyes, I mixed the two shades from the Nars Eyeshadow Duo ‘All About Eve’ to create a wash of colour across the lid. I did add a touch of ‘Bitter’ from the Vice 4 palette to define the crease slightly.
I did a slight winged liner using a Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner.
For mascara, I added two light coats of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat lashes on my upper and lower lashes.
To finish everything I simply added a light coat of Urban Decay’s Sheer Revolution Lipstick in ‘Lady Flower.’
And that is everything. How do you spend your lazy days. I might go and plan some posts for february now.
Bye for now!
