Thanks to my splurge this month, I had a fair few new products to try out this month. This favourites is a long one, but I will keep each explanation short.
Here’s all of the things that I have loved this month.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
This is something that nearly made it into my December favourites, but I’d only had it a few days so I thought that I would include it here instead after a thorough testing. It’s an amazing foundation. It covers everything but still feels like skin. It’s super long lasting too even in wet weather.
Barry M Double Ended Sharpener
For only £2 this has got to be the best pencil sharpener ever! It works wonders with the larger Nars Lip Pencils, and doesn’t warp the shape of smaller eyeliners too. It’s amazing. The weird domed shape ensures that it can be emptied without all the crap falling out into your makeup bag too. Yey!
Bare Minerals Warmth
This is an oldie but a goodie. This is a beautiful matte bronzer that can be used as a contour. I tend to wear this quite lightly, otherwise it can look a tad orange. Only use a few sprinklings of this and you will have cheek bones to die for.
Nars Lipgloss in Dolce Vita
I love this shade! You may have noticed it cropping up in a fair few posts this month. It’s just the perfect nude lip colour. It’s non sticky too so feels like there’s nothing on the lips. I adore it.
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara
If you saw my review of this, you will know how much I love this. This promises so much, and it actually does meat every expectation. I never thought that I would find a mascara that didn’t clump up my lower lashes. I finally found one. Whoop!
Bare Minerals Stroke of Light
I repurchased this in Glasgow and have been loving it for the remainder of the month. This is a brilliant product for hiding under eye circles and for hiding fine lines. Definitely a winning product for me.
NARS Eyeshadow Duos
I have a fair few of these and I love the formulas. They blend easily onto the lids and are quite long lasting. My favourites are Earth Angel, Isolde and St Paul-de-Vence.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
I got this as a Christmas present and it is amazing. My skin feels better and a lot cleaner. I’m not getting any breakouts either which is pretty awesome.
Bare Minerals Blush ‘Golden Gate’
This is such a beautiful warm peach colour. It is stunning on lighter skin tones with a semi-matte finish. I love it!
Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep
As you know, I went to London recently. I couldn’t settle on anything on my kindle, so I popped into Waterstones for a book. I came across this one which I have heard about but never read. I want to review this in February so I won’t say too much about it, but it is amazing. It’s probably my favourite book by him. It’s so fast paced. All I will say is if you loved The Shining, you will love it’s sequel too!
MAC Blush in Melba
This is a lovely matte coral blush that I have had in my collection for such a long time. It’s coming out again as Spring approaches. I love how this blends out. It’s such a pretty pop of subtle colour.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish
This is a very good setting powder. It isn’t translucent, so I went for the fairest shade just so it doesn’t oxidise my foundation to lighter shades. It is really finely milled so doesn’t look like another layer of powder on the face.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk
This is a very hyped up lip pencil, and now I know why. This is truly a creamy product that matches lip tones easily. I love it. I have at times worn this on it’s own with a clear lipgloss over the top.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I began using this at the end of December when my dry skin problem began. It does add a lot of moisture into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy layer of product on the skin (probably because this fully absorbs into the skin). I love the smell of this too. It’s truly amazing.
Bare Minerals Ready Quad in The Good Life
At the end of January I have used this little quad a lot. I have been enjoying a lot of neutral eye looks lately and this is awesome for achieving this. The colours are quite pastely and blend really easily. I love the black shade for achieving my liquid eyeliner trick too.
Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream
It took a while but this eye cream does work. My under eye circles have reduced slightly, and my eyes look less wrinkly. Well done Kiehl’s for creating this.
Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner in Crimson
This is a red-red lip liner. This is amazing for making red lipsticks last even longer on the lips. Like Pillow Talk However, this also looks amazing on it’s own. I also love the always sharp idea. There’s a tiny sharpener in the lid that actually pushes the product up the top too. It’s quite clever.
Bare Minerals Brushes
I have been replacing a few of my brushes lately, and have been purchasing a fair few from Bare Minerals. These have all been face brushes. They are amazing and soft. They blend products perfectly on the face. I’m really excited about the new eyebrush line that’s coming out soon, so I will be buying them soon too! My MAC brushes have just about had it and will need replacing next too.
Costa Chai Latte and Salted Caramel Muffin
They’re back! This is my favourite hot drink when I actually play at being a grown up. But then I order the muffin and get all excited to see it there that it destroys the idea that I am a 28 year old woman. This is a lovely snack and very very delicious.
So those are all of my favourites this month. I’m sorry that it was so long. Next month will be shorter (hopefully).
Bye for now!
