Mirage Eyeshadow Review

I should stop watching Beauty Youtubers. Really, I should.

In December I treat myself to this eyeshadow from Chanel. I saw it on Vivianna Does Makeup and it looked beautiful. This retails at £25, but luckily I had built up enough Boots points to buy this alongside the quad that I bought. So really, I shouldn’t feel guilty about this one.

So this is a cream eyeshadow from Chanel’s Illusion D’Ombre range. Mirage is a really pretty sheer wash of gold. It’s one of those that can be used as a base for other eyeshadows or as something simple for the lid. I did use this in a tutorial quite recently where I wore it with a quite dramatic feline flick.

The formula is really long-lasting and doesn’t crease on the lids. Always a bonus with cream eyeshadows! It does come in quite a large pot too so it’s easy to get your finger in there without causing a mess. This is the best method for application rather than using a brush. You can really get the colour to sheer out and blend.

I love the colour and maybe next year, I will treat myself to another one. We will see!

Have any of you tried any of these eyeshadows before, or have you had any Youtube inspired shopping sprees lately?

Bye for now!
