Did you know that I love green eyeshadow? Probably not. It’s not like I go on about it all the time or anything 😉
I tried to film a youtube video for this but it went wrong. So here it is in blog format instead. I thought that I would use some of the crazier shades in the Vice 4 Palette again. It’s been a while. I think!
Anyway, here’s a very green eyeshadow look ready for the Spring when it arrives.
♦ Face ♦
For the face I used my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Deauville, which actually looks a bit pale at the moment. But I can still work with it. I buffed this in using a foundation brush, then applied Bare Minerals Stroke of Light to my undereye area. I set these all in place using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder.
Then, to add some much needed colour to my face, I applied The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer in Light Matte to my cheek bones, jawline and forehead. Just so I look less dead. Then to add some colour to my cheeks I applied Nars Blush in Orgasm (or Norgasm as I shouted in the video that will never be). Since this does have some sparkle to it, I didn’t apply a highlight.
♦ Eyes ♦
Now to move onto the eyes! I did my usual thing using the Benefit Brow Zings in Light, filling in my brows using an angled liner brush.
Then taking my Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette I applied the shade Framed to my entire lid. This removes any oil from the lid before I define the crease. I then mixed the shades Bitter and Delete and swept them into my crease with very light movements, building the colour as I went along.
I then took the shade Arctic and applied this to my entire lid, bringing small amounts to the lower lash line too. I love this colour a lot! Then to darken the outer corner I applied a small amounts of Beat Down which is a dark purple. This added a subtle shadow to the very bright green.
For mascara, I applied a fair few layers of an old favourite mascara, Urban Decay’s Perversion Mascara. This is a very intense black mascara so it stood out against the bright colours of the eyeshadow.
♦ Lips ♦
I wanted to keep the lips matte, so I first lined my lips using Smashbox’s Always Sharp Lip Liner in Crimson, then went over this with the MAC Matte Lipstick in D For Danger. This was actually really long-lasting and took about three cotton wool pads soaked with waterproof makeup remover to take it off!
And that is the finished look guys. I hope you enjoyed the return of the Vice 4. What looks would you like to see next time?
Bye for now!
