First Impressions of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk

My hunt for a great bridal foundation continues. I know my sister’s wedding is a long way away but I want to do her makeup as perfect as I can so I want to base to be amazing. I have been trying different foundations on myself and in the end there will be one foundation to rule them all on my sister’s special day.

Anyway, weird rant over.

One of the foundations that I have wanted to try for a while is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I was getting low on my foundation so decided to give this one a try. I know that beauty gurus and Youtubers have raved about it for years so I thought that it was time to give it a shot.

This retails at £36.50 so this would be the most expensive foundation that I have ever used. I did follow my own advise when I purchased it however. I asked the makeup artist to apply it, then I wandered around the metro centre, trying it out in different lights before deciding to buy it.

I wear the shade 2, which is quite a light warm pink-toned shade.  It suits me really well.

The finish of this is a light to medium coverage but can be layered nicely to a more medium coverage if you prefer that. It is a very dewy foundation, so it gives a lovely healthy glow to the skin. Overall, it’s a nice product.

What made it stand out as a bridal foundation is the fact that it doesn’t have SPF in it. There is a lot of photography happening at weddings so the lack of SPF will prevent the dreaded ghost face occurring.

What are your thoughts on this foundation? Let me know in the comments.

Bye for now!
