It’s that time of the month again. It’s monthly favourites day. There are a few, although not as many as last month. There’s some makeup and some fashion favourites, so I’d better get on with it.
♥ Face Favourites ♥
I have a lot of base products that I have been loving this month. Starting with skincare, my favourite new edition has got to be the Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Clay Mask. My skin has honestly never felt so fresh and clean. Makeup applies beautifully after I have used this; I honestly don’t care about the price. It is amazing! Next up is a foundation that took me a while to try out. It has so much hype that I really didn’t think it would be worth it. It is, and it’s a great lightweight everyday foundation. It’s the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I still love my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation but this is a nice one to wear for more neutral makeup days. It gives a beautiful dewy finish.
Going back to my blogging day roots, when I was obsessed with Bare Minerals, my next favourite is from this brand. Bare Minerals launched a new concealer this month and it is amazing! The Bareskin Serum Concealer gives amazing coverage and doesn’t crease under the eyes. I truly love it!
As for facial colour products, my favourite blush this month has been a Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush. I now have the shade Love is the Drug, which is a pretty bright pink. I love the name and I love the shade that this applies on my cheeks. It’s stunning! My bronzing favourite has got to be my old faithful Bare Minerals The Beach is Waiting Palette. This is well loved, and unfortunately a limited edition piece. Strangely, I have gotten more into highlighting this month. It’s something that I thought that I would never like. However, I got hold of Jacyln Hill’s Champagne Pop by Becca at Space NK and fell in love. I tend to use this on a fan brush, and lightly dust this on my cheek bones. It really packs a punch with the sparkles, but it looks amazing!
♥ Eye Favourites ♥
On my eyes, I have worn pretty much the same palette throughout the entire month. My main eyeshadow favourites have got to be the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in Vintage Vamp and The Rock Cick. This is a warm toned plum/brown eyeshadow palette. I don’t think that I’ve worn this the same way two days in a row yet. I have worn this a lot on it’s own or mixed in with other palettes. It is stunning! The other palette that I continue to love is the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow palette. I love every shade in here. It’s really wearable and good quality for money.
As for liners, I have worn no other eye liner other than my Charlotte Tilbury Rock n’ Kohl Barbarella Brown Liner. This is amazing! It’s is beautiful for creating feline flicks as well as smoked out and smudged. It’s gorgeous!
As for mascara I have only really used my Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara. It continues to dominate my makeup bag. It gives full, fluttery, amazing lashes. I truly love it. I already have a spareon standby ready for this drying up on me.
♥ Lip Favourites ♥
Where eyes have been a little lax, lips became my focus this month. I tried a lot of lipsticks this month.
My favourite lipstick had to be the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Night Crimson. You know, most girls wear pinks and reds for valentines Day; I embraced the dark side! I loved it. It is pretty much my daring side in lipstick form. Layered under the Lip Lustre Unleash Me, this was my go-to combo for February.
Another unusual lippie fact for you is before February I didn’t own a brown lipstick. I mean a proper chocolate brown lippie! After watching Alexandrea Garza’s video at the beginning of February, I decided to hunt out Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Burkin Brown. It is a gorgeous brick toned brown. It’s very wearable and goes very well with my new glasses (according to a very enthusiastic man at Vision Express)!
A non-Charlotte Tilbury lip favourite was definitely the Dior Addict Lipstick Be Dior. I used this in my Jennifer Lawrence tutorial and I love wearing it for work. It’s a simple, glossy deep pink shade. It looks gorgeous.
♥ Fashion Favourites ♥
My first fashion favourite is my new perscription glasses. I am blind as a bat! Seriously; my vision is terrible so when I am not wearing my contacts, glasses are a necessity. I never felt confident in my other glasses so when it came to getting my eyes tested at Vision Express, I went for this purply-red toned Julien MacDonald glasses. They are larger than what I have worn in the past, but not the complete giant beetle eyed ones that you see around a lot. These look very feminine and have a rather sexy feline tilted upper rim. Is it weird to say that my glasses are sexy? Hmmm…
My second favourite is my Indigo Ankle Boots. I got these on sale in Marks and Spencers and I love them. They are so comfortable and look amazing with dresses or jeans. They are awesome!
♥ Random Favourites ♥
I don’t have a book favourite this month, but I have got a music favourite. I have been lsitening to Mika’s No Place in Heaven Album non stop this month. It is his best album yet and has some beautiful songs on here. The man is awesome.
I have also embraced some nostalgia this month and rewatched the TV series Charmed. I loved this in my early twenties. I still cry at the same moments and want to marry Cole or leo or Coop. Any of the men on Charmed were gorgeous. But I loved the storylines and the strong female role models. It’s a great show if you’re looking for a new Netflix splurge.
So those are all of my favourites. What have you been loving this month?
Bye for now!
