For one of the tutorials this month, I wanted to do a nude lip option with a very colourful eyeshadow. I have the Blue Brown Pigment Colour Powder by MAC and have been dying to use it in a tutorial.
So here we go!
♣ Face ♣
For a base I buffed my Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation all over my face and applied my Bare Minerals Bareskin Concealer under my eyes. I set this in place using what is left of my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder.
To contour I concentrated some of my Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder under my cheek bones. To add some warmth back I then dusted some of my Lancome Belle de Teint in Belle de Canelle in a C-shape on my cheeks and forehead.
As for blush, I applied light layers of my Too Faced Love Flush in Love Hangover on my cheek bones, applying any excess to the apples of my cheeks. I finished off the face makeup with a light dusting of Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop.
♣ Eyes ♣
I did go quite heavy on the eyeshadow, so I kept the eyebrows relatively strong to compensate. I used a mixture of MAC’s Quarry and my Bare Minerals Frame and Define in Universal Dark.
On the eyes, using a fluffy brush, I took Delete from the Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette and buffed this into my crease. I then used MAC’s Pigment Colour Powder in Blue Brown and patted this onto my eyelid, buffing out the edges with a clean fluffy brush. Along the lash line I drew a thin line of L’oreal Superliner.
Since the eyeshadow was very dramatic I wanted the lashes to be very long and dramatic too. I first applied the new Smashbox Photofinish Lash Primer and topped this with the Smashbox Indecent Exposure Mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
♣ Lips ♣
Since the eyes were so dramatic I did go for a nude option on the lips. I mixed two together to get a really pretty glossy hybrid that was surprisingly long lasting. I first applied Smashbox’s Be Legendary Lipstick in Cognac, then went over this with Dior’s Rouge Dior Lipstick in Swan. The finish was gorgeous!
And that is my nude lip tutorial done. What sort of posts would you like to see this month? I’d love to include some other people’s ideas too.
Bye for now!
