Shake ’em Up!

If you were my age growing up in the early 2000s you probably had a Juicy Tube from Lancome at some point! They were just the thing to have to wear makeup and get away with it for school.

Well Lancome have released a new lip oil product that will probably be the in-thing for teenagers and ‘juicy’ enthusiasts alike. These are the new Juicy Shakers and they are adorable.

The packaging is similar to a cocktail shaker and you can see the product inside. They are a pigmented lip colour blended with almond oil, omega 3 and cranberry oil. You need to shake the product to blend them together.

They retail at £18 which is quite reasonable. And these are a tinted, flavoured lip oil. Each shade has a different scent and they tell you it in the name. For example, Walk the Lime tastes like limes. I think it’s such a creative and cute idea.

The shades themselves are beautiful. They do apply quite sheer, but if you’re after just a subtle hint of something they are perfect. I used these in my no makeup, makeup face last month and all four shades blend beautifully.

Since these are an oil I expected them to be quite sticky and greasy. It’s not the case. They are really comfortable to wear and really hydrating if you have dry lips. I keep the clear Mint to Be in my handbag just in case my lips do need a touch of TLC.

My only gripe with them is the giant sponge applicator. You are supposed to dab these on the lip rather than swipe. I find that the applicator is too large for my lips so I apply these with a lip brush, which works just as well, Or I just dab with the tip and blend out with my finger.

Overall though I love these, and they will be ideal for summer holidays when we don’t want to wear too much makeup during the day.

What do you think of these little guys?

Enjoy the rest of your day!
