The Uptown Girl

The Uptown Girl look is a more daytime look with just a hint of chic glamour. It’s a gorgeous look, and I adore the palette that goes with it.

So here is my attempt at the Uptown Girl look created by Charlotte Tilbury. If you are new to the series, I am recreating all ten of Charlotte Tilbury’s Iconic looks using other makeup items. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need to buy every item from an advert to recreate a specific look; there will be something in your makeup bag that will work just as good.

I applied Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation to my face using a buffing brush, making sure this was buffed evenly across my face and neck. Under my eyes I applied a touch of Chanel’s Correcteur Perfection concealer, blending that in with a beauty blender. I set everything in place using MAC’s Mineralized Skin Finish.

To bronze up my face slightly and add a hint of definition I buffed some of Benefit’s Dew the Hoola bronzer on the outer parts of my face.

This look does use blush quite heavily, so I applied a generous amount of Bare Mineral’s Swoon onto the apples of my cheeks.

To fill in my brows I used Bare Mineral’s Frame and Define Pencil, drawing light strokes along my natural hair line.

For eyeshadow, I took Charlotte Tilbury’s Uptown Girl Palette, taking the Prime shade all over the lid area up to the brow bone. In the crease, I then took the Smoke shade, blending lightly in my crease, making sure that there were no harsh lines. I then took Enhance and concentrated this on the outer area of the eye, taking some of this along my lower lash line too. I then used my ring finger and patted some of the sparkly Pop shade over the lid.

To add a touch of liner, I smudged a light line of Charlotte Tilbury’s Rock n’ Kohl Liner in Barbarella Brown along my top lash line.

I finished the eyes with a few layers of Dior’s Overcurl Mascara.

To finish the look, I used the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick Panoramic Pink. If I did this look again, I may have used Audition instead; it has less of a brightness to it. But the lipstick I chose was still a close match.

So what are your thoughts on the latest Iconic Look dupe tutorial?

Bye for now guys!
