I love affordable, easy to use makeup that has the feel of more luxurious brands. Autograph Makeup has always had this feel about it even though I have never really bought any of it before. Autograph is a brand within Marks and Spencers and prices of items can range from £6 to £30.
Marks and Spencers have teamed up with Rosie Huntington-Whitely to create a really gorgeous looking makeup range. All the packaging is rose gold and looks really well-made. The compacts actually have a very Hourglass and Nars hybrid feel to them. Also, these items have not been tested on animals if that is something that worries you.
There are quite a few different items in the range; the only thing missing to create a full face is foundation. However, this could be on the way as Marks and Spencers state on their website that a full range is on the way.
At first glance I am really impressed with the collection. The packaging is beautiful and the products themselves are amazing. I bought a couple of items to try out and have been really impressed so far.
I have already mentioned the Cream Eyeshadow sticks in a previous review. These do remind me of the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks in application; they are amazing. All are very wearable and blend beautifully on the lids. They cost £12.50 each and are worth every penny.
The lipsticks, again have a lovely rose gold packaging and have really cute names such as Laugh out Loud or Dolly Baby. I think they are quite classy, and the shades range from nudes to deep reds. There is something here for everyone. They retail at £14 and are a very creamy, yet long lasting formula.
The final item that I bought is a cream to powder blush. These are really blendable and have just enough pigment to appear natural on the skin, although they do build up nicely if you prefer more colour on the cheeks. These retail at £14 too.
I will try more of the range eventually, but I picked out things that I knew I would get the most use out of at the moment.
What items have you tried from the range? Let me know your thoughts.
Bye for now!
