It’s quite well established that I like a good spending spree that may be much regretted when the credit card bill comes! However, I spent a fair amount in the sales and not so much sales in Newcastle. I won’t be buying much else for the rest of the month.
These are all things that I have wanted to try for a while and finally decided to buy them. Of course one is a repurchase but I’ll get to that in a bit.
It is safe to say that I spent the most here. On this day Charlotte was visiting Fenwicks so I did pop in for a visit. I saw the top of her head from the laura Mercier stand. She has amazing hair!
Anyway, I bought four shockingly pricey items. The first was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue, which is what I originally went in for. My eyes have been through the ringer lately and I thought that would help them get back to their original state. It’s a very rich cream so here’s hoping it does the job. I will report back on this at some point.
The next item is the very famous and hyped up Magic Face Cream. This gets such good reviews that I thought I would give it a try. It feels amazing on the skin and I haven’t had any reactions yet.
I did buy two makeup items, one being the Light Wonder Foundation. As we approach the warmer weather I wanted something a bit lighter for the skin. THis is a nice glowy light to medium coverage foundation so I’m looking forward to using it. The final item was the double ended Mini Miracle Eye Wand. This has a concealer on one end and an eye serum on the other. The idea of it is to reduce fine lines and brighten under the eyes at the same time. Again, I will report back on this.
At Nars, I went a bit nostalgic and actually missed using my Nars Sheer Glow. I got rematched up since a lot of my foundations are looking a bit peaky on me since I changed my hair colour. I am now using Santa Fe rather than Deauville. I did get a pump for this too.
The other item is the newish Audacious Mascara. This gets very mixed reviews, but I have used it a few times in the last few days and I really like it. It gives me quite a nice length without looking clumpy.
I finally gave in and purchased the original Chocolate Bar Palette. If you have seen the last few of my Instagram snaps, you’ve probably seen me feature this a lot. I love this! The shades are so pigmented and buttery smooth. They look stunning on the eyelids. I’m really impressed.
The other item is the Waterproof Better Than Sex Mascara. My eyes have been quite watery lately (joys of hayfever) so I need a waterproof mascara. I loved the original mascara, it was actually an all-time favourite, so I hope this is similar. It is a lot drier in consistency but the product does apply similar results to the original. Phew!
My final stop was Laura Mercier. It was during a makeover here that I caught a glimpse of Charlotte walking down her runway. The girls at Laura Mercier were lovely and tried so many things on me. I got a big hug off the sales lady too, which was nice. The things I bought here were the Candle Glow Foundation. I had a sample of this a while ago and loved it. It’s absolutely gorgeous. This may be a contender for the wedding makeup!
The other item was a highlighter, because a girl can’t have too many of these! This is the Matte Radiance Baked Powder. It’s not matte, it definitely has a lot of sparkle. But it’s very subtle and beautiful.
The final item was a pack of blending sponges. These blend the foundation in flawlessly. You get four in the pack so they work out cheaper than the Real techniques Sponges and work just as well.
And that is everything that I bought. What have you bought lately? Or have you tried any of these products yourselves?
Have a great day guys.
