Pretty in Pink

We are approaching the middle of Spring/ beginning of Summer and pink is everywhere!

We’ve got bright pinks, pastel pinks, coral pinks… the lot. It seems to be the colour of choice this Season.

Since my eyes have been a little sore lately I have avoided pink around my eyes, although normally this isn’t something I would shy away from. Too Faced’s new Sweet Peach palette is a beautiful easy to wear palette with a few gorgeous pinks and corals in it. It’s absolutely stunning.

However, if you do get sore eyes, or just shy away from that shade entirely, lips and cheeks are the way to go. Pink cheeks look so youthful and girly; it’s an easy way to embrace your inner child who wanted to swirl her mam’s blush all over her face. For brighter hues I would tend to wear this on the cheek bone rather than on the apples of the cheeks; it can look a bit much!

Lips are by far the easiest place to wear pink naturally as our lips tend to be pink anyway. Makeup companies are bringing out so many new pinks, it’s unreal. All I would suggest is try them out and have a play; some pinks will suit some people better than others. My Mam prefers very pale pastel pinks, whereas on me these give me a recently died look!  However, I wear pretty much anything else, whereas my Mam hates brighter bolder shades. It just comes down to personal preference.

How are you wearing pink this season? Let me know.

Bye for now!
