As Urban Decay make a few changes to their lineup, I thought that it would be appropriate to pay tribute to some of my current favourites. These are all products that I currently own, so things that have been used in the past which I loved won’t be included (Perversion mascara and Naked Foundation).
So let’s get on with it.
Afterglow Blush in Video
This was one of the first things that I bought from Urban Decay and I still love it to this day. It’s such a pretty matte, mauve blush which looks different on different skin tones. On me it looks quite pinkish with a bit of terracotta depending on how much colour my skin has. On my friend, this looked very pink. It’s a lovely colour that suits everyone.
This is something that I struggled with for a long time. This is a pore-reducing and anti-redness spray. At first I did think this was a bit gimmicky and just something that I was squirting at my face every morning. It took a few weeks but I did notice a difference in my skin. Redness has reduced slightly and the few pores that I did notice seem to have reclined a bit. If anything, this is great to keep in my purse on hot days to cool my face down. It’s a nice cooling spray.
Glide on Lip Pencil in Ex-Girlfriend
I use this pretty much any day that I want to wear a nude lipstick. This is such a pretty colour that blends really well onto the lips. This is very similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk if you do need a lip-liner similar to this. This is by far my most-used lip liner these days.
Revolution Lipstick in Bang
Summer is here (in my head) so I can whip this out again. This is the brightest orange lipstick that I own and I love it. It’s just gorgeous and hydrating and very pigmented whilst remaining long-lasting. I love the revolution Lipsticks in general and it will be sad to see them go. I hope the Vice collection is just as good, although I’m not as keen on the packaging. I love the purple metal packaging of these little lipsticks.
Beached Bronzer in Sun-kissed
This was bought on a total whim, and yes I don’t regret it. This is such a gorgeous bronzer to give a subtle bronzed glow to your face. This is perfect for fairer skin tones. This is quite finely milled too so it blends out beautifully. I wouldn’t use this for contouring, but it adds warmth to the skin.
How cold I not include this? You should see the state of the palette nowadays you guys. I have hit pan on a few shades and am coming very close to hitting on others. This is by far my favourite eyeshadow palette of life. The colours are beautiful, they blend beautifully and they are ideal for any time of year. If I could choose one thing out of Urban Decay’s entire line-up, it would be this.
One & Done Foundation
I love the Naked Foundation, but I wanted to give this a try. This gives lovely dewy skin and decent coverage. This is meant to be a light coverage foundation but it actually gives a medium to full coverage on me, and I know others have found this too. I find that the best way to apply this is with a damp blending sponge. It’s a really lovely product which will be perfect for Summer.
Brow Box in Bathwater Blonde.
As my Brow Zings hits pan, I saw this on sale and grabbed it. This is ideal for fair haired people. This is actually a perfect brow shade for me. Unfortunately this shade was limited edition with the Gwen Stefani collection, but I hope they bring the shades into the permanent line-up because they are perfect for ‘Bronde’-haired people.
Glide on Liner in Demolition
This is definitely my most used pencil eyeliner. I have used this so much, it’s almost a tiny nib. This is perfect for smoking out the lash line or to wear along the waterline. It’s one of the few that doesn’t set my eyes watering. Being brown, it also doesn’t look as harsh as black liner for more natural makeup days.
Afterglow Highlighter in Firestorm
I love the Blushes in the Afterglow collection so I was keen to try to highlighters. The only one that ever seems to be in stock is Firestorm, so I picked this up, and I love it. It is a pinker highlighter to my preferred champagne shades but it’s gorgeous, especially with a tan. It’s such a lovely subtle colour that is something different in my excessive makeup collection.
Afterglow Blush in Quiver
My mate Lynz actually muttered “What the Fuck” when she saw the shade of this. This is super bright neon fuschia pink. This is super pigmented so you do need to go in with a light hand. However it looks absolutely beautiful to add that pop of colour to the skin. I used this in my Emilia Clarke tutorial yesterday so you cans ee it is very wearable. Definitely give it a try even if you are scared of bright blush shades.
Chill Makeup Setting Spray
I have dry skin, and this was recommended to me over the De-Slick spray. I have had the de-slick in the past and I much prefer the Chill one. This is very hydrating and feels amazing on hot days, which we have been getting in the North-East lately. Even though it is hydrating, it does the job and keeps makeup locked in place for longer. It really is awesome.
So those are some of my favourite products by Urban Decay at the moment. What are yours?
Have a lovely day guys!
