The Skincare Range That Helped Fix My Skin

Some have you probably saw the photo of my face on the left either on instagram or the very potty mouthed post a few weeks ago. However, I have been using a few new skincare products since my old favourites are being discontinued or revamped at the moment. I really did need to find new stuff.

A brand that really hasn’t ever let me down is Bare Minerals. I love their makeup, and their serums are still some of my favourites. Bare Minerals are getting rid of all of their old skincare items and replacing them with a three/four step system.

If you would like to see a full, in-depth review of every single item Shelby uploaded a video a fair while ago. I only have a few items in the range; those that are ideal for my skin type; which is dry.

Bare Minerals have designed this line to be be used both during the day and night to keep things simple, and to minimise the amount of products that you will need on a daily basis, which I think is awesome.

Within the range is the new Skinlongevity Serum, which I hope is a replacement of the Biolucent, which I am quickly running out of. This is designed to tackle early signs of aging and give radiance to the skin, as well as help with other skin conditions. Honestly, I haven’t noticed much of a difference yet, but I will keep using this. I think Shelbey said she didn’t notice anything major for a few months. So we’ll see.

Another product that I bought is the Clay Chameleon Cleanser. This is such a weird product. This looks like a clay mask, but it’s actually a cleanser. You rub it into the skin and as it works into the skin it turns white. This is meant to remove impurities from the skin and leave it feeling soft and clean. This does work really well, although I wouldn’t use it around the eyes; I still use Micellar Water for that. But this works really well on the skin.

I stupidly bought two moisturisers. I didn’t do my research and actually bought the Smart Combination Smoothing Lightweight Emulsion and the Butter Drench Restorative Rich Cream. The Smart Combination, in my defense is in a different container to the other three moisturisers, hence my confusion. I thought this was a serum for bringing moisture back to the skin. Nope, it’s just a moisturiser meant for people without too much of a problem with their skin (lucky bastards). Butter Drench is for really dehydrated skin. It smells amazing and works wonders for those stubborn dry patches on the skin. Together these work really well, so luckily my booboo worked out. On good days, I can get away with wearing the Smart Combination on it’s own. When my skin was at it’s driest, both of these products absorbed really quickly into the skin.

Overall, I am impressed with the line, and I have stopped using the steroid cream from the doctor. These are enough.

Have you guys tried any of the new skincare line yet? Let me know if you have and if you have any thoughts on it.

Bye for now!
