Suicide Squad comes out this month in the UK, and I can’t wait to see it! It looks amazing!
One of the characters I’m looking forward to watching the most brought to life is harley Quinn. I grew up around the TV show, and she was utter awesomeness.
To celebrate the release of the film, I wanted to try out a Harley Quinn Inspired Makeup tutorial. I hope you enjoy it. It’s something different and I had a lot of fun creating it.
To start off, I took my palest foundation, which is the Dior Airflash foundation and buffed this into my skin. I then covered any blemishes with the Maybelline Erase Eye Concealer, blending this out with a damp Beauty Blender.
Harley has little to no bronzer on, but I did want to chisel my cheeks out a little. So I took the Chanel Soleil de Tan, and buffed a very light layer into my cheek bone area. For blush, I used my Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Secret’s Out concentrating on the apples of my cheeks, sweeping upwards to my ear with any excess.
Harley has a little heart tattoo under her eye, so after applying the eyeshadow I used my Bare Minerals Lash Domination Liquid Liner to draw in a dainty heart.
This was terrifying to do for a blending obsessed lady. This bit actually felt quite naughty.
I first filled in my brows with the Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil, keeping my brows quite arched.
I then took my Urban Decay Electric Palette, and packed the shade Gonzo (blue) onto my left eye. The more shadow, the better. I took this just under the brow bone, then blended down my cheek using my fingers. The pigment in these shadows made this so easy to do!
On the right eye, I patted the shade Savage (pink) and did exactly the same thing.
To tightline my eyes, I took the Urban Decay Glide on Liner in Rail, also taking this along my upper and lower lash line, smudging slightly. Nothing about this look is neat!
As for mascara, I took the blue and pink YSL Vinyl Couture mascaras and applied generous layers to my eyelashes. I applied blue mascara on the eye with pink eyeshadow, and pink mascara with the blue eyeshadow. It just added that something extra.
For the lips, I applied quite a generous layer of Clinique’s Colour Pop Lipstick in Passion Pop. I did think about smudging it, but thought better of it.
And that is my finished Harley Quinn tutorial. I hope that you enjoyed it, and please leave suggestions for future tutorials. I quite like these weird and wacky ones once in a while.
Have a nice day!
