WARNING: THIS MAY OFFEND SOME PEOPLE. This post contains screen shots of an offensive nature concerning Trolls.
Have you heard of The Roast Me Page on Facebook? It’s a page where people can upload a photo for the purpose of people to troll you.
I’d heard about it from Smosh’s Blog and thought about giving it a go.
For now though, here are the replies that I got.
Some of these did actually make me laugh. And it’s good that the creator of the page puts his foot down about certain points. Knowing that someone gets blocked from commenting racism gave him a big thumbs up.
You probably find it strange that I would allow people to compare me to the Joker or the Overly Attached Girlfriend. The reason that I wanted to do it was to build up my armour ready for what may happen in the future.
I among all of us on the Internet put ourselves out there a lot. We post selfies and film youtube videos or even write intense posts into how we’re feeling. All this stuff is awesome and it’s why people follow us.
However, it may also bring the trolls. They might start to poke their ugly heads and write all sorts of stupid abuse about the weirdest features. I remember Nikki Tutorials saying people trolled her about her eyelid crease. Seriously, what the fuck???
So I allowed the trolls to come to me in a controlled setting. My reaction was to laugh. Therefore if this happens in real life I know how to react. Laugh it off, remember that I am beautiful and me for reasons that they don’t need to understand, and then block their asses from commenting again.
So if we ever do receive online abuse, just remember to block them. Hopefully it never happens to you. I have been lucky so far to have lovely followers who leave lovely comments. But the first troll will eventually crawl through the woodwork. If you do get them, remember that they are pathetic bullies protected by a computer screen.
I am going to quote a comment that I received from a follower the other day: you’re all amazing and never stop smiling because you do matter. I thought that it was a relevant thing to say in this context.
How would you react to your first troll?
Sorry if this has offended anyone.
Have a lovely day and thanks for reading.
