How I Did my Makeup at School

Hi guys!

School in the 90s and early  naughties was an awkward time for makeup for many tweens my age. We didn’t have YouTube tutorials and only had our Mam’s and friends to give us advise on what goes on our faces.

This tag has been going around lately where people are recreating their old looks. Mine really aren’t that out there but my techniques were a bit off.

Before I do the whole recreating my school makeup, I wanted to share my old photos.

When I turned 16 I started wearing tinted moisturiser for school to cover some of the eczema on my face. I always got tubes of Nivea Tinted Moisturiser for Christmas off my Mam, and thats all i wote even though it looked orange on me. I did wear a little mascara on my lashes and a lip balm. Everyone my age pretty much wore the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara and Nivea Lip Balm. That was my look.

Then I went to Newcastle York and discovered Clinique. I have said this before, but the products I bought were Superbalanced Foundation in Alabaster, a blue Eyeshadow quad, a pale pink Blush and baby baby lipstick. I wore that lipstick all the time! It was so beautiful!

With eyeshadow I used to just swipe on with my fingers. Not great!

Eventually I did discover other eyeshadow colours but still swept them on with my fingers. Blending was not my friend. I think I was 22 before I received my first eyeshadow brush!

How times have changed! I started taking makeup seriously when I turned 23, so not actually that long ago.

How did you used to do your makeup at school?

Have a nice day guys!
