Fifty Shades Darker Trailer Makeup Tutorial

I saw the new teaser trailer for Fifty Shades Darker the other day and I can’t wait until it comes out! I loved the books and the first film! Ana’s makeup looked absolutely gorgeous at one point of the trailer (my guess is it was for the masked charity ball) and I really wanted to try recreating it.

So I found this old mask that belongs to my sister and channeled my inner goddess to create this very simple yet beautiful makeup look.

For my base makeup, I kept things very fresh and flawless. To prime my face I blended two pumps of the Lancome La Base Pro all over my face. This mattifies the face and really helps foundation last longer on the face.

For foundation I buffed a light layer of the Lancome Teint Idol Cushion Foundation all over my face and down my neck slightly. Under my eyes I used a blending sponge to blend out my Bare Minerals Bareskin Concealer and set this into place with the Dior Diorskin Forever and Ever Powder.

Ana did have a little bit of contouring on her cheeks, so I used the Nars Paloma and buffed this out until you could hardly see it. I then dusted a light layer of Bare Mineral’s Ready Blush in The Secret’s Out over the apples of my cheeks and up to my ear.

And finally to highlight, I swept Laura Merciers Illuminator in Seduction.

The eyes were actually the easiest part. I first filled in my eyebrows slightly using the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil and set them in place using the Anastasia Eyebrow Gel.

I then tightlined my eyes using The Body Shop’s Smoky Eye Definer Pencil in Black. On the actual lids I bluffed out Dior’s Diorshow Eyeshadow in Cosmopolite.

To finish off the eyes I applied a few generous layers of Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara.

I didn’t actually have a lipstick the colour of Ana’s in the trailer so I mixed a couple.

I lined my lips using The Body Shop’s Precision Liner (a berry shaded one- names not on product). Over this I applied Nyx’s Full Throttle Lipstick in Up the Bass to get the red base, and applied Clinique’s Colour Pop Lipstick in Rebel Pop to darken it.

And that is my take on Anastasia Steele’s makeup in the trailer. Now I just need to find my own Christian Grey.

Who else can’t wait until the movie comes out?

Have a lovely day guys!

You did great, even though I haven’t seen the trailer lol.
Love how you mixed shades to get that lip color. I’m always saying how I’m gonna do that and never do lol.
