Top 4 Recent Non-Beauty Favourites

Hi guys!

I will admit that this blog is mainly about beauty related stuff. However, I do have a life outside of makeup, and sometimes I do like to incorporate that stuff onto my blog. So here are some of my current non-beauty related favourites.

I recently uninstalled Spotify from my phone and took up a Samsung offer for 3 months free on Deezer. Not to be dramatic, but my life has changed! Not only is Taylor Swift on Deezer’s list but there are songs on here that I had forgotten about. The reason that I actually prefer this over Spotify is that it seems quite clever and regularly recommends songs that you may enjoy based on songs that you ‘heart.’ I know Spotify had something similar, but this seems a lot more sophisticated. I honestly never thought that I would enjoy Muse and The Scorpions, but apparently I do. So this will be continuing on after my 3 month trial.

Bridget Jones’ Baby

I loved the original films, and this one has Patrick Dempsey, and Ed Sheeran! Sign me up! This film is just as good as the originals. I love it how it incorporated the change in technology and what people consider news; things have changed since the early noughties (good grief 2001). So the film is essentially a spinster Bridget becoming pregnant, and the baby having one of two fathers; Mr Darcy or the gorgeous Jack. I don’t want to say too much about this film but definitely give it a watch; Emma Thompson makes this movie!

Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series

I am onto the third book so please no spoilers. I was recommended the books by a shop assistant in Waterstones and bought all five of the main story. I have finished books 1 and 2 in a week. Oh my God, they are brilliant. They have adventure, murder mysteries, magic, hidden identities, assassins, shopping, boys, makeup, blood, the lot! It’s not often you come across a heroine in a story like this where she is a real well-rounded girl. It’s absolutely brilliant. And I do ship Celaena with Chaol. They need to be together. This book has turned me into a teenager! You need to read it!

Disney Emoji Blitz

Gone are my days where I was obsessed with Candy Crush. This game is very similar but a lot more relaxed. It’s really easy to gain the coins to progress in the game without spending money. It’s just such a relaxed game. What makes it even greater is the fact that you can use the emojis that you collect in the game in your actual texts. There are loads of challenges throughout that do keep the game interesting. I absolutely love it!
