What’s in My Makeup Bag?

Hi guys!

It’s a new month and a new day which means my makeup bag is getting another makeover. I have downgraded a fair bit to try and get as much use out of some products before they return to the box for a little while.

I have only got two foundations in the bag this month and both are new. The first being the Chanel Vitalumier Aqua Foundation, which is amazing for a medium coverage. It just leaves the skin looking so glowy. The other has a much lighter finish but can be built up, and that is the new Body Shop Cushion Foundation which is almost an exact dupe of the Lancome Teint Idol Cushion Foundation. I have really enjoyed using both of them since I bought them.

As for concealers, I also only have two; my ever faithful Bare Minerals Bareskin and the Chanel Correcteur Perfection. One I use under the eyes, the latter for blemishes.

I feel like it’s getting boring over what I use to set my base makeup, but that is just because it is absolutely fantastic; the Dior Diorskin Forever and Ever Loose Powder. This is just bloomin’ marvelous for setting makeup.

For a change, the majority of the bag is taken up by blush, bronzers and highlighters. I have the new giant Bare Minerals Be Beautiful Palette, which I couldn’t resist; the shades are stunning; along with a few old favourites. I am obsessed with Urban Decay’s Afterglow Blush in Fetish at the moment. It looks so gorgeous on fair skin tones! I don’t tend to wear a lot of bronzer in Autumn so I have opted for my Dior Nude Air Glow Powder in 001. It just looks so natural on the skin.

For mascara, I did originally only have the Lancome Grandiose Mascara and the Clinique Flutter to Full, but I added the waterproof L’Oreal Hippie Mascara after yesterday’s events. I have my usual water resistant eyeliners to hand, which haven’t left the bag yet!

As for eyeshadow, I have four palettes and a few creams; mainly all in Autumnal shades. It was so hard picking out jut a few palettes, but I do find that the less that there is in my makeup bag means that I am more likely to use something up.

Finally, lips. This has been the biggest change in my makeup bag. I was recently extremely brutal with my lipstick bag (it’s still endless, but less endless) and managed to fit them all in the larger bag. I have gone for five; Chanel’s Rouge Coco in Adrienne, Body Shop’s Matte Lip Liquid in Sydney Amaryllis, Urban Decay’s Matte revolution in Bad Blood, Smashbox’s Be Legendary in 9 to 5 and Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Lead the Way. There is quite a mix between nudes and bolds so they should all have their turn.

So that is everything in my makeup bag at the moment.

What is in yours?
