Inside my Makeup Bag

As I write this post, the weather is awful; it’s really cold and stormy. Definitely cozy jumper weather!

I had a rummage through my makeup bag again and swapped a few things around ready for next month. Some things have stayed the same, because I enjoy using them that much, although there is the odd new thing to keep me from getting bored.

For the base, I am still keeping things fresh and dewy, although I have swapped the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint with Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua. It actually feels as if this could nearly be empty so I’ll use it until I need a repurchase. I do also have the Bare Minerals Original Foundation, which was one of my go-to foundations in the Winter when I first started getting into Bare Minerals.

Concerning concealer and setting powders, nothing has changed; although I think some of these may need repurchasing soon. All are getting near the end of their containers. I have went back to using The Lancome La Base Pro for December, since it is one of the more hydrating primers in my collection, and does give me a fair amount of coverage.

I didn’t want to many blushers and bronzers in the bag this month, keeping things relatively neutral with a hint of glow. Urban Decay’s Afterglow Blush in Fetish is definitely one of my seasonal favourites. It’s a gorgeous matte mauve pink. I love the colour. As for bronzer, I have gone back to using my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette. It’s an ideal product for the winter and gives a gorgeous natural glow and definition to the skin.

I have kept eyeshadow products to a bare minimum because I want to do a little challenge this month where I use only one palette. I have the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette in the bag, which is still my favourite out of the 4. This one is a new one since my sister broke and claimed the older one. I do have a few bronze eyeshadows in the form of a MAC pigment and Bare Minerals The True Romance quad. Both are gorgeous and team up well with the Naked 2. wp-1479741158807.jpg

To prevent myself getting bored, I do have a selection of eyeliners and brow products to keep things interesting with the eyeshadow palettes. There is a mix of liquid and kohl liners including a Smashbox Always Sharp Liner and my ever faithful Lancome Grandiose Liners. I do have one stick eyeshadow which I wanted as a base for the Naked 2 shadows. This is one of the Rosie for Autograph eyeshadows; unfortunately I don’t know the name of it.

I am still in love with the Benefit Brow Range, and tend to mix and  match the products that are used on my brows day by day. They give a lovely shape to my brows and tend to last all day. They’re fab.

As far mascaras, I am using my current favourites in the Urban Decay Perversion/Subversion duo and the Clinique Flutter to Full. I tend to use the latter on my lower lashes. Together, these mascaras give a lovely fuller looking lash effect.

There is definitely a preferred colour choice for me in December, and that is red. I tried telling myself to pick a nude, a bright a red and a plum. This ended up being a nude, two bright, three red and a plum! And the brights are very red-toned. Oops! However I do love a bold red lip in the cooler months; it just looks so flattering! Of course my old favourite lipstick makes an appearance; Bobbi Brown’s Red Carpet! And I’ll be honest with myself, it’ll probably be the most worn one.

So that is everything in my makeup bag. Things will definitely change around, but for now, this is it. What do you guys have in your makeup bags?

Bye for now!

Great products! Which Nars blush is this? It looks like a good one for winter cheeks.
