I mentioned in a post a few days ago that I had took up one of the Superdrug Free Gift offers; that being the Revlon free eyeshadow palette when you purchase three other items.
This is the Note Just Nudes palette. It comes with ten neutral shades. Eight shades are satin finish whereas you do have two matte brown shades. This makes it quite a wearable palette, and you’ll only need this for travelling if you do prefer wearing neutrals only.
I think that this palette has been going around the US for a while now, however the fact that this has been introduced as a free gift makes me wonder if they will soon be arriving in the UK. Hopefully they will be.
This is quite a thin palette, and has lovely sleek black packaging. The writing is painted on, so it will probably wear away after a while. But this does happen on some high end palettes too.
I have heard some mixed reviews about this palette in the US so I really didn’t know what to think when I first saw it. However, I wanted to come up with my own opinion, so I purchased some of the cheaper Revlon products and walked home with this beauty.
The shades themselves are gorgeous. You have a mix of cool tones and warm tones, so it is a pretty wearable palette. I love the gold shade on the top row! When swatching, all the shades were really buttery and I had very little patchiness in the swatches. So far so good.
On the eyelids, they are also really beautiful. They apply wonderfully and creamy, blending out really well. Most shades didn’t give a lot of fallout. The only shade that I had a little light dusting from is the dark matte brown shade. Although after tapping my brush a bit more this stopped happening. I just had to build up the pigment slowly. The fallout was easy to clean up with a fluffy face brush.
I did try and use as many shades as possible, and came up with a soft golden brown smoky eye. But they do work really well together, and I can’t wait to use the silver shades in another look!
Hands up if you want to see a Christmas tutorial using this palette?
Hope you’re all having a lovely day, and I’ll see you tomorrow. Please comment below any ideas for future posts.
