Wearable Christmas Makeup Tutorial

Hi everyone! How are you all today?

It’s been a while since I posted a tutorial, and I want to do a few over December. This one I have made for a daytime Christmassy look. Maybe you’re meeting someone for lunch or you’re working on Christmas day. I will do a full-on glam look later on next week, but I liked how wearable and easy this one was to put together.

My skin is still recovering from night shifts, so I do have quite dark under eye circles. To hide them, I used the Barry M Correcting Concealer kit, using the salmon shade. It does make you look like you’ve got serious pink eye at first, but once you get your actual products on top, it’s worth it.

For foundation, I buffed a few light layers of the Bare Minerals Original Foundation into my skin. I am still wearing the shade Golden Medium. It’s such a pretty shade if you’re used to wearing Medium Beige. It just has a touch more warmth to it which makes you look really glowy, but in a good way. To cover up the salmon correcting shade, I used my Chanel Correcteur Concealer, and blended this out with a damp blending sponge, then set it into place using the Bare Minerals Original Concealer.

I did a bit of light contouring, just to add a touch of definition to my face, and used the gorgeous Dior Air Nude Glow Powder. I love this bronzer. It looks really natural on the skin, and the packaging is stunning! For blush I used my current favourite Bare Minerals Vintage Peach blush. I’ve just realised how many Bare Minerals things are currently on my face! To finish off my face, I dusted a touch of Dior’s Air Nude Illuminator on top of my cheek bones.

For the eyes, I kept things really simple and used a cream eyeshadow. I blended out quite a generous amount of the Laura Mercier Caviar stick in the shade Sandglow, buffing this out with the shade Bitter from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics palette.

For eyeliner, I used the shade Black Brown from the Avon Glimmer Sticks, using it along my lash line and to tightline my eyes. And I finished off the eyes using Maybelline’s Spider Effect Mascara. I actually love the wand on this mascara, it’s really easy to hit every single lash.

Finally, I added very light strokes of the Benefit Ka-Brow pomade to define my brows. My brows really do need tinting again! It’s really tricky to fill them in at the minute.

I wanted my lip shade to be quite berry toned, so I first lined my lips using The Body Shop’s Lip Liner in the berry shade; it’s got no name on the product. I then applied one of my favourite Clinique Colour Pop lipsticks in the shade Grape Pop over the top. Together these gave a really unusual but lovely berry lip effect.

And that is the finished look guys. I hope you enjoyed this. And I will do a full-on glitter look later on in the week. I’ve got a few other posts coming until then. One may even be a first look at my new dressing table, which I’m picking up today. I can’t wait! I already have a few ideas on how to decorate it.

Thanks for reading as always guys, and have a lovely day.
