My Favourite Wintry Blush Shades

Applying blush is something that I feel that I am getting better at. It’s something that I only really started using in the last three or four years. However, times have changed, and if you’ve seen my dressing table post, you’ll know that my collection has grown quite considerable since then.

So I rummaged through my collection and found some of my most reached for shades in the cooler months.

Clinique Ginger Pop

I have heard so much about this shade on Youtube and blogs that I eventually bought it some time in the Summer. It’s such a flattering shade, that could be worn all year round, although it has a lovely ‘been out in the cold’ look about it when applied to the cheeks. It’s just such a beautiful, natural flush shade.

Nars Orgasm

This is another cult beauty product that everyone raves about. I have the giant pan that got released a few months ago. So this is probably going to last me a really long time! It’s such a pretty shade that does suit all skin tones. It is quite a dark-toned pink, making it perfect for the Winter, especially matched with a berry lipstick.

Bare Minerals The Indecent Proposal

I love this shade! It’s pretty much a matte version of Nars Orgasm. The shades are really similar when applied to the face. I do find this one slightly more blendable. It looks really natural, and does look a lot pinker in real life than how it has photographed!

Too Faced Love Hangover

You guys know how much that I love this blush! It’s probably the only one that has hit pan! This is so richly pigmented that a little goes a long way. It really does give that pretty natural flushed look, but adds a lot more colour than any other in this list. I just think it looks stunning!

Urban Decay Rapture

Rapture is gorgeous! It is a deep plum shade that looks beautiful with neutral makeup. It really does add a lot of colour to the cheeks and has a lovely natural shimmer running through it, meaning you wouldn’t really need highlighter. This is definitely one that I reach for a fair bit in the cooler months.

Nars The Dolce Vita

This is another really flattering blush that looks amazing on so many people. It’s a rich mauve shade. I really love it, and I do use this a fair bit on my sister when I do her makeup. Nars blushers do tend to last a long time on the skin without separating. This is definitely one to check out if you are more fair to medium skin toned.

Bare Minerals Golden Gate

This is my favourite all-time blush. It just looks so beautiful and gives a really natural glow to the skin. It’s so stunning. Being a loose pigment, it’s really easy to blend out. Out of any Bare Minerals blush, I’d recommend buying this one. It’s really worth every penny!

Those are all of my favourite blush shades. What are your favourites?

Have a lovely day guys. Christmas is nearly here!
