You only realise how much makeup you have after you attempt to organise your collection into containers. My latent tetris skills came into play here!
I didn’t really want anything fancy to help me separate my makeup so I bought a few tupaware boxes from the B&M in Durham. The majority came in stacks of 4 for about £2. One box I actually inherited from my dad’s tool box. It was an ideal size for my blushers, bronzers and hoghlighters.
Even after sorting my lipsticks, they were falling out over the top of the containers. So I tried turning them on their side. Apparently this worked! I had the perfect amount of lipsticks to fill each box!
My base products drawer is now safely sorted into the type of products that they are. I didn’t realise that I had that many primers!
I haven’t really used the tupaware on the other side. I used some thinner ones to tidy up the mascaras and eyeliner drawer a bit but that’s it. I used a good bit of jiggling to fit all my mind I palettes and single shadows in a way that they were easily identifiable. The larger palettes in the bottom drawer are now piled a bit neater.
And finally my everyday drawer now sports a lovely kitchen utensils organiser. It’s not the fanciest object, but it does what I need it to do. I’ve tried to keep certain objects together.
So that’s an update on my dressing table. My dad is thinking about making me a lipstick holder instead of me using the tupaware , which would be cool, but it’s a case of watch this space.
Hope you’re all having a lovely day and I’ll. see you tomorrow.
