Happy February! I hope you’ve all had a good January.
Today I wanted to start the month off with a tutorial. I had stepped away from tutorials a bit last month, and wanted to do a few throughout February.
I actually managed to complete a lot using nothing but drugstore items for a change. I hope you enjoy the change.
I started off by using the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, which is a really lovely drugstore foundation. It gives decent coverage without looking cakey. Under my eyes I blended out some of the L’Oreal La Touche Magique Concealer with a damp Beauty Blender. I set everything in place using the MUA Luxe Highlighting Palette. With this being matte, I actually using this more as a powder than a highlighter.
To add a touch of definition to my face I buffed a touch of my The Body Shop Honey Matte Bronzer in a figure of three shape on both sides of my face. For blush I used a new blush that I bought at the Metro Centre yesterday. I used the Models Own Rock n’ Rosy Matte Powder Blusher in the shade Sienna. This is such a beautiful colour; I’m already obsessed. To finish off the face, I dusted a light amount of the I ♥ Makeup Golden Bar palette along my cheekbones. I used the shade Chocolatier, which is a really pretty highlighter even though it’s in an eyeshadow palette.
I just got my eyebrows waxed and tinted yesterday so I didn’t need as much product in them as I have been using.
On my eyes, I took the shade Box from the I ♥ Makeup Golden Bar and blended this into the outer part of my crease with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. I also dusted this shade along my lower lash line. I then took the shade Bar and patted this softly on the main part of my eye, and blended that into the darker khaki shade. I then repeated this along my lower lash line, applying directly over Box.
In my inner corner, I applied a small amount of the shade Tablet. Then to highlight my brow bone I used a small amount of the shade Collection.
For eyeliner, I drew a very subtle feline flick along my upper lash line using the Models Own i-Definer Liquid. This is waterproof once it dries so for people with watery eyes like me, this is a Godsend! It’s amazing.
Finally, to finish off my eyes I applied a few layers of the L’Oreal Flase Lash Superstar X Fiber Mascara. This is perfect for both the upper and lower lashes.
I wanted a deep berry lip for this eye look since everything else was quite soft.
I first applied The Body Shop’s Lip Liner in the berry shade (the names are not on the product) and then went over this with Models Own Luxestick Velvet Lipstick in Deep Berry. I will be doing a full review on these at a later time.
And that is my finished look. I hope you enjoyed this, and let me know what other tutorials you would like to see in the future.
Bye for now!
