Fantastic Dry Skin Heroes

There are so many different different types in the world that not all foundations will suit everyone. We also all have different needs in a foundation at different times throughout the year. I go from wanting something full coverage to something quite sheer. It all depends on how my skin is behaving at that present time.

However, one aspect that my naughty skin can agree on, is that it is dry.

I tend to go for foundations that do offer hydration and have some coverage for redness. Something like the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint is amazing for a quick wash of coverage that helps moisturise the skin. It feels amazing on the skin and doesn’t cause any irritation. Something very similar, although with a tad more coverage is the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. This is amazing on days where the skin is really dehydrated. I tend to find that it does reduce any fine lines on my skin as the cells rehydrate themselves. I do tend to mix these two with something with a bit more coverage for special events at times. They work wonders.

Something that sits in the middle of sheer and full coverage is the Lancome Teint Idole Cushion Foundation. I love this one, as it can be built up, but doesn’t look caked onto the skin. It looks really fresh but covers what needs to be covered without sitting on any dry patches. It’s such a beautiful foundation.

On the more full coverage spectrum I have the Bare Minerals Ready Foundation, which as some of you know is my favourite foundation of all time. I find that this is really hydrating for a pressed mineral foundation, and it doesn’t cake in my dry patches. You can wear this quite sheer or build it up. I do apply this with the flat topped precision face brush which does an awesome job at distributing the product onto the skin. This also layers really well over cream products for a bit extra hydration. The other full coverage foundation that I wanted to give a shout out to is the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. This is a recent discovery, but it’s beautiful. It hasn’t broken me out and it gives a lovely glowy finish to the skin. I usually find that one and a half pumps is enough to cover my entire face. Unlike a lot of my cream full coverage foundations this doesn’t really need a beauty blender to remove any streaks. It’s such a wonderful product to work with.

What are your favourite hydrating foundations?

Hope you all have a lovely day.
