Playing with Cool Tones

Hi everyone, how are you all today?

For those of you who have followed me for a while, you’ll know that there isn’t a colour that I haven’t attempted to wear. I love eyeshadow and playing with different techniques to try and enhance my natural eye colour.

Normally, I would have said that warm tones such as bronze and gold tones tend to make the blue in my eyes pop the most. However, if I just stuck to neutral shades I’d get very bored very quickly. I just love playing with colour. It makes an everyday makeup routine so much more fun.

Today, I actually used a lot of cool tones on my face; even my bronzer was a lot more cool toned than normal; and I really loved the result. Instead of the blue popping in my eyes, these shades made my eyes look more green and grey. It was actually quite pretty, and not something that I expected.

As for lipstick, again I kept more cooler tones. I used a Body Shop Liquid Lipstick with a very blue undertone to try and make my teeth look whiter. Since I was a little girl I’ve always had a bit of discolouration on my front teeth, which was a result of being on so many different antibiotics as a young child. I find that blue undertones, and cooler lipsticks tend to make my teeth appear whiter, which is something that I have always wanted.

100% cool tones aren’t really in my comfort zone, but I really liked how everything came together today. And it’s definitely something that I’ll be doing again in the future.

Have a lovely day everyone, and take care!
