My Everyday Makeup Drawer

Hi everyone, how are you all today?

I tend to share the makeup in my side drawers quite a bit; you know the ones that have a specific category in mind. What I don’t share a lot is the top drawer smack bang in the middle of the table. This is one of the more messier and slightly unorganised drawers on the table. However I think that I have it slightly more organised as of late.

I purchased two Lakeland storage containers to help separate my skincare from my makeup, which makes things a lot easier to grab. Today I wanted to share the makeup container in the drawer.

I do tend to keep the most basic base products in here, as well as a few products that I want to use more. The primer is one of my all-time favourites, Body Shop’s Instablur, which works really well with Clinique’s Superbalance Silk Foundation. These have been my go-to face combo at the moment. I just love how the foundation feels on my skin; it has such a beautiful satiny finish.

I do go between quite a few different concealers quite regularly. Of course I still have a pretty committed relationship with the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light and Original SPF20 Concealers. These are amazing under the eyes and don’t crease at all. I have recently found a cheaper dupe for Stroke of Light in Superdrug’s BB Concealer, which feels identical under the eyes. This blends out beautifully too. I do also have the L’Oreal Infallible Total Coverage Palette in here, but I don’t really use it that much if I’m honest. It only gets used if I have a lot of redness.

I do have two setting powders in the box at the moment. The first is Maybelline’s Matte Maker, which isn’t a favourite; I just want to use it up. It’s good for my hydrating foundations to set them a bit easier. The other is Bare Minerals Hydrating Veil, which is awesome for drier consistency foundations. I do prefer this to the Maybelline setting powder. it’s perfect for nightshifts!

The face colour products in the box are the current rotational products. I’ve always done this, where I use one blush/bronzer/highlighter for a week or so before swapping it with something else. The products that have this honour at the moment are Model’s Own Sculpt & Glow Contour Powder in Deep Tan, Lancome’s Cushion Blush in Sorbet Grenadine and Laura Mercier’s Face Illuminator in Indiscretion. All of these products are well loved, and they look amazing together.

Since my lips and eye makeup changes daily, I keep the bare minimum in the top drawer. I do keep a mascara and brow product in this tray just to grab if I’m in a hurry. I have Benefit’s Gimme Brow and Roller Lash in it at the moment. As for lipsticks, I have two quite neutral Bare Minerals Lipsticks in the drawer. Again, these are shades that I would use for minimal makeup looks. I have Speak Your Mind and Love in the drawer, which are both stunning neutrals.

What do you keep in your everyday makeup?

Have a lovely day guys!

Bye for now!

  1. Thank you for sharing! I wish I could find something that works for my dark circles under the eyes but it’s like no point of looking! But thank you for sharing!

You’re gorgeous by the way! You’re a doll!
