Hello there, how are you all this morning?
This week, I wanted to try and stick to a theme. And since I’m such a makeup snob most of the time, I wanted to pay more attention to a lot of the lovely products that drugstores are bringing out recently.
So I did a bit of cheeky shopping….
Who can resist 3 for 2 offers?
Since a giant Superdrug has opened up at the Arnison Centre I have noticed how many brilliant new launches have come out from the likes of Rimmel and Eyelure and L’Oreal. And honestly, I’m a little obsessed with Rimmel at the moment! After purchasing the Magnif’eye Grunge palette and instantly falling in love, I bought the other two the next day. I also picked up the Match Perfection Foundation since I’ve heard really good things about it recently. I’ve actually used it once in preparation for a tutorial later in the week, and I’m really impressed so far!
I also picked up the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Nude lipstick in shade 48, since I’m very into brown lipstick at the moment. I don’t know why, but I’m loving them. And on that note I also picked up one of the Makeup Revolution Matte Luxe Kits in the shade Glory. The final lipstick purchase was Barry M’s Lip Paint in Neptune; which is one of those colour changing lipsticks.
I also picked up a new mascara from Rimmel; the Volume Shaker which has got to be the heaviest mascara ever! From what I gather, you shake the mascara and it freshens up the product if it starts to dry up. I will research it more and get back to you.
My final Superdrug purchases were hair products. I’ve recently recoloured my hair (it’s still red, but more brown this time) and I want to keep the colour fresh for longer. Therefore I bought the L’Oreal Elvive Colour Protect shampoo and conditioners. I’ve used these before and they work really well.
I only have one Boots purchase, and that is Fleur de Force’s Brow Mascara. I love Fleur and I tend to agree with most of her recommendations when it comes to makeup. I also love brow mascaras and thought that I’d give this a shot. It’s a tad cheaper than Gimme Brow, and you get two products in one.
The final product is an eye cream from the Body Shop. The is the Drops of Youth Eye Roller. This is amazing and makeup applies really nicely over this. The roller ball feels so cooling too!
What products have you recently purchased from the drugstore? Anything that you can recommend to me?
Have a lovely day!
