My Favourite Drugstore Eyeshadows

It’s no secret that I’m a bit of an eyeshadow hoarder. I love pretty things that go on my eyes. I do tend to wear a lot more higher end eyeshadows; in fact they make up the majority of the collection. However I do have a fair share of drugstore palettes that are equally as lovely as the more expensive ones.

Today I wanted to share some of the palettes and formulas that really stand out to me and share what makes them so great.

Zoeva Eyeshadow Palettes

I have two Zoeva palettes, but the company do make a fair few, many which I do want to get my hands on. I find that the formula of these shadows is absolutely phenomonal; they’re buttery and blend like a dream. For a cheaper formula, they don’t feel cheap. The shades are really pigmented, and the little fallout that you do get brushes away easily. They’re just lovely.

Nyx Eyeshadows

I have all of my Nyx shadows in a Z-Palette at the moment, and as you can see, most of them are turquoise/ gold in tone. I clearly have a thing for those type of shades! My friend Lynz got me into Nyx, and they do make some beautiful eyeshadow shades that apply wonderfully. The pigment quality is a bit hit and miss, but for the most part, they are super pigmented and last a really long time throughout the day, with or without a primer. I do love the fact that you can buy Nyx shadows in a refill pan format too, so you can customise your palettes if you want.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows

If you remember my Weebly blog, you’ll know how far me and the Colour Tattoos go back. These are definitely some of my favourite longer lasting cream eyeshadow formula to use on its own or as a base for powdered shadow. They do last a really long time and blend beautifully on the lids. They’re just perfect for a quick wash of colour when you’re in a hurry.

Revlon Not Just Nudes Palette

I know that this was a free gift at Christmas on an offer however this is one of the only Revlon eyeshadow’s that I like. I think that the pigment is beautiful and it looks really natural on the eyes. It’s one of my go-to work eyeshadow palettes because I can trust it to give me a subtle smoky-eyed look that won’t be too much for work.  They blend beautifully and don’t give a lot of fallout.

I ♥ Makeup Palettes

These are quite a recent addition to my favourites but they’re beautiful. I especially love the Makeup Geek and Golden Bar palettes. These are super cheap products but the quality of them is amazing. They are really long-lasting with or without primers and I love how many shadows you get in the majority of the palettes. These would be ideal for a makeup artist who is just starting out. I just have so much fun with these palettes, I love using them when I do my makeup.

Rimmel Magnif’Eye

I feel like I’m cheating placing these on the list since I’ve had these only a week. However they are amazing. The pigment in these shadows is amazing. I love that you can make these quite subtle or build them up to a full-on smoky eye look. I just think that Rimmel did such an amazing job when developing these palettes. They’re brilliant.

What are your favourite eyeshadow palettes from the drugstore?

I hope that you’ve enjoyed drugstore week; if you would like to see me do more themed weeks let me know, and give me some ideas for themes in the comments. I’ll see you tomorrow!

Bye for now!
